Matt Scott is easily the best prop in the game. Even in a losing performance tonight he was epic. Hannant was great too, but Scott does that every week. Would happily trade Hannant for Scott, and that's nothing against Hannant.

because we all know that origin teams are only picked on form.....

kidley is going to be picked for Australia after playing about 10 games in over 2 years. guess that means hes one of the best 17 players in australia. great to know you think that beads.

Hannant made more metres made more tackles two less dropped balls and more offloads than Scott.on average over a year Scott is better but this year both he and tamou have been in poor form (no Payne?). On current form the games best props are hannant, woods and merrin. Thaiday might even be just ahead of Scott and tamou but I don't think so. I'm not saying they're worse players just in worse form.

Fifita, Merrin, Woods

I don't agree with AP that often (who does?) but he is absolutely right on this occasion. Thaiday, Glenn and Parker all 115m or more and gave Hannant excellent support. Nobody other than Tamou made more than 100m for the Cowboys and Scott was carrying the team. There were occasions where the Cows were really buried in their own half and Scott got them back to a neutral field position situation to ensure we weren't on the attack from the first tackle.

Hannant was fantastic last night and it was easily his best game of the season, and he has been very good for the last 3 games after a middling couple of seasons. Scott was fantastic last night and it is debatable if it was the best he's played this season after two seasons where he has been fantastics.

It's great that Hannant is doing well and AP is an idiot for thinking we shouldn't re-sign him, but there is no way that Hannant is better than Scott.

hannant is better than scott so far this year easily.

Hannant right now is the best prop in the game IMO, he's playing brilliant, doing everything right, huge metres, huge tackles. I'm glad we have him for another 3 years or so.

Best in the game? Really? How many Budweisers have u had today? Granted, his form has been strong the past couple weeks but he goes MIA far too often for my liking. I could go thru the other 15 rosters and find at least one prop from each side that I would rather have. He faded badly after Origin last year but I blame "Hook"" mostly for that. Asking a big man to play 70+ mins per game in the back end of the season was simply too much to ask. He was totally burnt out along with others. Hook doesn't have a clue when it comes to interchanging and doesn't know how to look after his big men, I know junior coaches who could step in and do a better job. If managed properly, the Polar Bear could once again become one of the premier props in the game. Would luv to see it.

What a load of shit but since you think you can please do.
Go through the other 15 rosters and pick me one prop from each of those rosters that you would choose ahead of Hannant, I wouldn't mind a cheap laugh.

I do agree that Griffin's use of the interchange bench sucks but he has other qualities to make up for it.

McGuire was a loss but lucky our forward pack was good enough to step up while he was out. McGuire returning only makes our forward pack better.

Agreed. When Matt Scott lost the ball that led to the match winning try my thought was "he doesn't deserve that". I'd have him in my best 17 every single week and he'd be one of the first picked.

I just hope moose slots straight in for Sanderson. They are similar style players moose is just better. Neither offers what hala does. I just can't believe hala is so quick for his size

Agreed ...... I swear after I gave Hannant a spray after the Warriors trial and R1 he has lifted his game tremendously. :cool:
