My opinion i wouldn't even let him step foot back in the team. Let him work a 9 to 5 on construction sites for the whole 2025. So it get drilled in his head and understands he not above anyone just because he a rugby league player.

Yeah but don't forget, Cooper Cronk wasn't that polished at the same age as what Dearden is now..
Whether Dearden improves in coming years to where Cronk finished up as a player, is another thing..

The beer bit is true, Bennett consoled him on the field and the dressing room- I know he told him to stop crying if that's the worst thing that happens to you you've led a good life.

Not sure about the hotel room bit- Bennett left him alone and didn't talk to him for three weeks after the Grand Final.

Trad did a great job of protecting Hunt.

The way I heard it was that when he came into the dressing rooms after the game he was in tears and very distraught. Benny told him to take a seat and as he sat down he leaned forward still in tears to put his head in his hands - and missed.
