Meanwhile down at the Storm:
Why hasn't Ben Hunts contract been registered yet?
I don't recall a Crawley article about Wighton signing on the cheap last year
all true but why did the nrl have no problem approving that contract but now suddenly its broncos they do?Wighton didn’t cut loose over a million dollars to earn nothing for a month and then sign at half his contract.
Hunt/Broncos have done nothing wrong but a few weeks ago Papenhuyzen was called a cheat for reportedly signing for a couple of 100k less.
The whole transport publication of pay has been argued and nearly everyone on here was for it.

still crazy to me that other fans get all riled up at the mere thought of us having a good side. even though we have not done anything in 18 years.I don't recall a single mention in the media about Paps being called anything negative. On here we did absolutely but no name fans calling it out is a lot different to the media.

TL:DR Other clubs have had a sook. Oh, and we haven’t lodged it yet.
And so it begins…
salary cap auditor will benchmark Ben Hunt’s contract against other offers and consider key metrics, including his age, before registering the Broncos reported $600,000-a-season two-year deal.
The Broncos are privately laughing at any suggestion they have stretched their salary cap to sign Hunt.
They point to their loss in the past 18-months of Herbie Farnworth, Thomas Flegler and Kurt Capewell.
They also point to the fact that a long list of the current roster, including Walsh, Mam, Riki, Deine Mariner, Cory Paix, Jesse Arthurs and many more have emerged from the Broncos academy and that despite interest from rival clubs, they are intent on succeeding at the club that has helped make them.
Broncos management also point to the attraction of player’s being able to live in Brisbane at a cheaper cost of living than rival cities, like Sydney or Melbourne.
However, most critically, the Broncos defuse the debate by pointing to Hunt’s age.
The Test and Queensland State of Origin playmaker turns 35 in March next year.
The Broncos would never say it publicly.
But Hunt’s signing isn’t without risk, particularly given his likely halves partner to begin the season, Adam Reynolds, is 34.
If Papenhuyzen quit the Storm today, went and sat on a beach for two months and then signed with the Eels for 450k I think you’d see a few what the hell is Ryan doing pieces.
Absolutely. Look at the players that Penrith developed, and subsequently lost. What about when Dolphins offered Munster like 1.5 mil, and he's like , nah I'll stay at Storm.
Right about the time a bunch of Storm players were "investing" in the Storm CEO's sports betting agency.
Probably the most flagrant and out in the open salary cap cheating .
Say what you will about the Panthers, no one cheats like the fucking Storm. I'll watch Panthers win 10 in a row before I see those Purple cheats raise another illegitimate premiership.
Because the nrl haven’t received one yet?Why hasn't Ben Hunts contract been registered yet?
