Looks like Farah got his bench spot back from Hunt.

Sheens just went full retard. This is a deadset joke. Hunt deserves his spot in the team again. Without Hunt the Kangaroos wouldn't even have a chance of making the final. We'd be two losses from two games. He changed the momentum of the match and helped the Kangaroos get back into the game. His introduction into the match was very smooth, especially considering it was his debut game. In comparison, Farah just complicates things. Everything just feels clunky and out of place when he comes on. There's no point playing Farah. He doesn't provide a point of difference off the bench, whereas Hunt will, and in fact did against England.
He said in his press conference that we "lacked size up the middle" with Hunt in the team. Hunt: 89kg, Farah: 88kg.
Maybe it was a Freudian slip in reference to his shit house prop selection.
I think it was more in terms of sacrificing a specialist forward to put Hunt on. Normally your bench guy would sub for the hooker or they'd do a bit of a backline reshuffle.

Yeah Thaiday for Hunt was a strange sub. But that's what you get for picking a reserve half I suppose.
I really don't think much of Tim Sheens, but I understand where he's coming from. It's up to Benny to show that he's better than the incumbents now.
He already has.
Oh, when?
He has to follow up last season if he wants to be the first choice Australian halfback. You shouldn't get that just for one decent season. He'll get there if he keeps working hard though, definitely talented enough.
If you mean he's better than Farah, then I'd say they're different types of players. Hunt's a specialist, and there's really no room for a specialist half on the bench. Playing all three at once last week was insane.
Farah's also a specialist 80 minute hooker like Cameron Smith. There's no room for a 80 minute hooker on the bench when you've already got one. Same thing...
As for playing all three at once being insane, it seemed to work very well. Far better than whenever Farah has come on off the bench I might add. Hunt just offers a lot more, as he can move from a playmaking role to a dummy half role, as well as just float around where needed in attack. Farah is only confined to hooker, and it get's awkward when Smith's there. It just doesn't work as well.

Maybe you should read all the way to the bottom of the thread before replying. I specifically said I wouldn't have picked Farah either.
And Hunt playing at dummy half for 20 minutes is the reason we won? Come on man.
If he had replaced DCE and won the game by putting on a grubber or a bomb or by slicing through the defence, I'd be agreeing with you.
Same question I asked Danoz, when and how has he proved to be better than the three halves ahead of him for an Australian jumper (Cronk, Thurston, DCE)?
