While I'm on the Copley bandwagon, I certainly wouldn't be upset if Beale or Reed got the nod. As long as it's a young player given a chance to have an extended stint in the position, and not an out of position back rower, I'll be happy.

Same goes here.

This might sound foolish, but I never considered Beale until reports sprouted up about him - I thought he'd be one of those junior stars you hear of who's career is cut short by injuries.

Reed sounds handy, hopefully he steps up when given the chance.

The back end of last season showed why it's important to have a specialist centre out there, Glenn did a decent job out there but his positioning was woeful and while we all liked to bag Winter under the high ball, half the problem was Glenn offering little to no protection.

I can't agree with that. Winterstein would regularly drop them when he had an uncontested shot at them.

A lot of the time, he'd be under a lot of pressure and Glenn would just be ball watching beside Winter.

There were a few examples he dropped it cold, the Roosters Monday game comes to mind, but the majority came when he had 2-3 guys swarming down on him.

5 hours to go in this one. Hodges has one jersey fitted and delivered, and the other is a closely fought contest between Beale and Copley. At this stage GB has the slight upper hand.
