Congratulations to Corey Parker on a fine season. A well-deserved prize for a player who always gives 110%.

After being awarded the RLW Player of the Year accolade and being named the Dally M Lock of the Year in 2013, I'm sure this is his greatest achievement.

yep, this year really convinced me that Thaiday needs to move into the front row, even if people still insist he is better in the backrow

also, without knocking Parker (because he was great this year), it is interesting that 5 out of the 7 games where he got 3 votes were losses.

while I think forwards get underrated whenever a team is doing well, I think they can also escape a bit of scrutiny when we lose because their games are often judged more on 'effort' than 'effectiveness'. I reckon Parker picked up quite a few MOTM as consolation votes because he tried really hard, even if he wasn't that effective.
