lol, I didn't bother reading the thread. I saw about 3 posts where everyone is riding Hunt's nuts and thought I'm best giving my points to the people who actually got us the win.....

Without go forward, Hunt wouldn't have been involved in any of the 3 tries, I agree!

But does that mean we give 3, 2 and 1 point to all of the forwards every-time we win? :roll: The forwards need to lay the platform, but the backs have their job to do as well and Hunt did exactly that.[/quote:2up2ckok]

Why you wish to respond in this thread I don't understand, however I must respond (apologies to NNN in advance);

Before this POTS started I suggested Forwards and Backs. The reason is because some people only see...sorry that's incorrect, only like to comment on flashy backs and very rarely give the pigs the credit they deserve.

For instance Rock, have a look at your nominations (and there's nothing wrong with them, this is individual's selections, but you have given me two " :roll: ", so I wish to explain why I mentioned people riding Hunt's nuts) over the last 5 rounds and count how many forwards you have in there. :roll: Now that's from 4 games in which we definitely won the forward battle (I didn't get to watch Dragon's game).

So when you roll your eyes and say "Does that mean we give 3,2,1 points to all forwards every time we win?"; I say; No, however you could give a couple of the pigs some reward for the hard yards every now and then, instead of a 1 or the occasional 2.

The backs, whilst flashy, have simply done their job. We reward points on how well a player has done his job, regardless of his position. Hunt definitely didn't play above my expectations of a fullback against Roosters.

What was "outstanding" about Hunt though? He ran through the usual plays and they worked. He scored 2 tries and threw the last pass for another, so it's visibly - and on the scoreboard - spectacular. Forwards will never have that kind of impact, so how do they get points?

Winterstein by comparison scored a brilliant individual try.

Again, not knocking your selections, but I take Hammo's point that if Hunt gets 3 points for these sorts of performances (including one of the worst defensive errors I've ever seen from a fullback) then the pigs have no hope.

Thank you Coxy, that's what I was trying to say (not to Rock as such, BHQ in general).

Forwards will never be the "feature" of the game, yet are the very real reason (week in, week out) seasons are a success.

I'm not saying Hunt isn't worthy, I'm just flying the flag for our siginificantly improved pack, which has impressed me no end this season (I didn't see Dragons game).

I vouch for Hammoz. He might've provoked it, but Rock was the main perpetrator.

If anything, both should get 10 in the bin.
