Yep - Pope got smashed in the 19th and then it was a formality. Sam’s did his once every few years thing and it was done.

Interestingly, someone has been injured fielding so far in each game.

Yeah they have fight this team but the batting looks worse than the bowling.

Jack Wood has the potential to be a mainstay (at least without test players). Hope he rises to the occasion.

Tom Alsop has to be given the gloves. Peirson is just not a t20 player let alone an opening batsman.

To be fair it did take him a long time start finding the middle... looked very scratchy early on... and even now he's been mostly anchoring the innings and looking to rotate strike, which is not the worst thing for this Heat team... guys usually go out there and just swing at everything.

Jimmy is a bloody great cricketer. Not the perfect T20 type but he can do a job in multiple batting positions.
