Matai is deadset the dumbest bloke in the game. Des Hasler must be nervous each game as to whether or not he will be sin-binned/sent off. His showing today was just typical of him and he put his team under huge pressure as a result of that.

The slap on the back and the provocation. Ref had placed him on report for the high shot and everyone was walking back to their positions when Matai had his brain explosion.

But matai should have copped the penalty and moved on instead of acting like a dill and provoking the tigers. The send off was 100% correct irrespective of the earlier penalty. There are people who have been in comas for the last ten years who have more brain activity than Matai.

Would you say the same if someone like Hodges provoked the other team? If anything Matai showed every team that to beat the Tigers you just slap their backs.

Its all good to say Matai should have copped the penalty, but in the same sense Heigh had no business running in to save from a "Slap" the call could have easily gone the other way and the Tigers would have been down a man.
