Who is it?

i dont think matai was provoking the tigers really with the slap on the back

I would say the same if it was Hodges or any broncos player. You cop the bad calls, you don't carry on like a pork chop. Heighington reacted but it was matai that started the following scuffle.

Matai turned around to go back to his position after the slap and heighington kept following him

But it was a slap on the back and he walked away after nothing in it at all.

Matai felt (by the looks of it) that Farrah took a dive slapped him on the back as if to say "yeah good way to milk it" and walked away. If the refs had any nuts in those pants that would have been passed off as banter within a competition. Attention was drawn to it because Heigh ran in, Take Heigh out of it and it woulda been a simple penalty.

You're not getting it draggx. If Matai copped the penalty, Heighington has nothing to react to. Matai started the whole mess. Not that hard is it????

Were saying heighington still had nothing to react to... there was absolutely nothing in the slap

Haha righto. Put yourself in Heighington's shoes. In a tense game your teammate got chipped by a known hot head and you are just going to let him be a dickhead???

WTF? Matai comes up to Farah after being penalised and gives him a pretty rough slap on the back and maybe some choice words (don't know since we only see his back). He walks away from the defensive line instead of going back to it, if that isn't provocation then I don't know what is.

And there has already been one big all in earlier in the game.

Matai was totally out of line doing what he did, the ref knew it and thats why he sent off.

well considering he was walking back i wouldve yelled out to him but i wouldnt have followed him like heighington did

Matai shouldnt of slapped Farah on the back. Thats not the issue i have.

The first incident should never of been penalised and it was a wrong call by the refs. Nobody can tell me that Matai would of been been put on report if the incident was penalised by the on field refs in the first instance (it should never of been a penalty anyway).

The only reason he was put on report was to give a penalty which is wrong. The NRL changed the rule the start of this year to state that if the Video ref is going to tell the on field refs that they missed an incident and a penalty should be awarded the incident has to be bad enough to be placed on report for the a penalty to be rewarded.

NO WAY IN THIS WORLD SHOULD MATAI OF BEEN PUT ON REPORT. I BET MY LEFT AND RIGHT NUT THAT MATAI DOES NOT RECIEVE ANYTHING!!!!!!

Whole incident started from FARAH taking a dive.

Not the issue Donny.

We all watch Rugby League every week. We see refs make wrong calls all the time. It's part of the game.

If you cop a dodgy call do you a) cop it on the chin and get on with the game? Or b) take matters into your own hands and risk letting your team down by copping a further penalty or sin bin and putting them under even more pressure?

I get it, Im not denying Matai started it. My point is the sin bin was soft and in any other situation Heigh would be the 3rd bloke in and the one being Binned.

Which would be wrong.

Yes it would be, Anyone being binned for that crap would be wrong.

However in a normal situation the 3rd man in is the one binned. Not the bloke who slapped a back.

Most shit said on here is pure opinion dude, I can see Jebs point although i don't agree with it and i would hope he can see mine.

When was the last time a third man in was sinbinned? I can't think of any this year, so looks like the refs have gotten rid of that stance that they once took.

And in this case, Matai took things too far so a sin binning was warranted. Sterlo agrees with me!!

Mark Minichiello got binned third man in when Farah and Friend had a fight in the scrum 3 weeks ago it is the only one I can think of.
