Blasts From The Past

Peter Jorgenson. Panthers fullback, used to do that stupid plane thing when he scored. He ended up having a pretty good strike record for a while then he disappeared. What ever happened to him?

Was going to say a plane crash, but decided not to. :P

In 2002 he returned to rugby union joining English club Northhampton. From Northampton he went on to play two seasons for Rotherham before signing for Edinburgh where he played two more seasons before finishing his career. In June 2007, Jorgensen returned to Australia with his wife and two young sons and resumed work as a stockbroker.

What happened to that gun FB for the dogs? Silva? I was a kid at the time, but Barba sort of reminds me of him? He was a gun player wasn't he? Lightning fullback. What happened to hiM?!

Just on Seymour - Bennett admitted he made a mistake with him. Bennett wanted to turn him into a halfback when he was more suited to the five eigth role and while his abilities would shine through he simply wasn't effective in the role.

Given what I've seen, I agree. Watching Seymour around 2008 when he was selected at five eigth he actually played quite well, to the point where he was one of the form five eigths in the game and you'd even say his injury was the final nail in Cronulla's coffin that season.

Then they tried to play him at half again, Brett got sad and drank himself silly and was sacked. Such is life.

Where is Paul Carriage these days?

I see him most mornings at Central Station in Brisbane...he claims he's working as a teacher somewhere, though I believe he just begs.

Two guys that unfortunately never got to show their best for the broncos due to injuries were Bob Conway and Andrew Tessman. I think Tessman could have been anything as a prop bar for the knee injury he got (was he hit by a car or something??)

Steele Retchless for his awesome name.
And remember that speedy winger Lee Oudenryn, geez that guy could motor. He towelled up 'Chariots' Offiah in that race in the early 90's when he was playing for Parra.
