The Asthma Foundation better find another gimmick then handing out plastic whistles.

There seemed to be about 36,000 refs at the game tonight.

It may have just been in the area I was sitting, but most of the game people were blowing the pea out of those whistles.

I got handed 5 of them [icon_shru all different colours.

Dumbest promo ever at a footy match - as if they were going to be able to stop people blowing them all night.

I was in stitches when I heard them blowing it before Gidleys kick.. I thought it was hilarious

Were you there? I would've thought I was hilarious if I was watching on tele!

But at the game, I though it was more OOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!! [icon_thumbs_do

During the game itself I thought the whistles added to what was a great atmosphere - not sure what others who were at the game thought but the crowd was into it last night - plenty of excitement and noise around the stadium

I loved them..... so anti social, Sylvie would have loved it :)

I had 5 kids sitting behind me, kids will be kids so yeah, try and stop 'em from not blowing them every 2 seconds.

Not very well thought our at all, the packed trains and buses, even I felt like knocking on some randoms door and giving them an earfull.

Can anyone put up a vid of the goal kick, didn't get home til this morning didn't record the game.

How many people ended going to see the match? I don't recall any attendance numbers being put up!

37,552 was the official crowd.

The whistls were great! OK, so maybe not the best idea, nut at least their was noise and almost.....atmosphere!

First, I turned the sound down to see if it was actually the TV! But IMO it sounded like 50,000 crickets or cicadas were invading the ground!! [icon_lol1.

She most definatly did [icon_evillaugh

Wasn't very well thought out was it. I thought it was funny though when the PA tried to ask people to stop only to end up encouraging everyone to blow them more.

I got tickets at the game and my PAX number was 42,000+ so the weather really dented the crowd. If it was a sunny afternoon, anything would be possible. Especially on Father's Day!

But they gave the Sunday arvo to the Titans v Wests.

Graham Annesley said on the radio last week that the NRL were going to give the Broncos the Sunday Arvo game.

But Nine picked the Broncos game for the Friday night & there was nothing they could do about it.

IMO Friday night games are the orsm.

It's an excellent way to start off the weekend. I <3 FNF

I am right in predicting you're a boozer?

Boozers like me love Friday night games. It gives us a couple of days to recover before we're thrown back into the harsh reality that is sobriety.
