I agree with this totally. For a young team's captain to come out and say he is happy with his mediocre (at best) performance demonstrates that mediocrity is acceptable within the club and team.

I guess this is one of the issues pissing the old boys off given the reputation and aura they built at the club

He’s clearly suffering from a stick up the ass sindrome. Symptoms include denial of any wrong doing, cockiness and entitlement. And it seems to be spreading like wild fire

I think Boyd will see out this year at FB and if things continue how they are, he'll be moved or dropped entirely. He's the captain so I think that complicates matters a little. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with anyone's opinions, that's just what I believe is the case. I personally hope for his form to improve by years end, otherwise I'm positive that Seibold will wield the axe.

Mmm, I watched Glass the other night and frankly it was very very average. No, it was a disappointment more than anything else. McAvoy was great, Samuel MF Jackson was okay and Willis going through the motions. Wouldn't recommend it and I know this isn't the thread for a review. Sorry.

Back on Boyd I don't believe he's as bad as some are describing but he hasn't been great and saying he's happy with his form means he's not assessing it with unbiased eyes. It's pretty obvious he's not at the top of his game and I think he's self hobbling. He's no longer playing instinctively which is what got him to the top. These days he's trying to be controlled, a thinker but to me he needs to go for broke and stop trying to control things. I don't believe he can't silence the critics, he can, he's just got to lose interest in the results and yes, that's exactly what I mean.
 
Nope Boyd’s completely cooked, I have zero faith he’ll come good. The sooner he’s fucked off the better.

I’d rather pay his salary and have him on the sideline for the better of the team.

I think he’s doing what Bennett did best and taking the pressure off the rest of the playing group. He knows he’s down on form and is taking one for the team. Everyone’s talking about how he thinks he’s played instead of how badly the rest of the team has been playing

Disagree. I think he's actually a flog who is being enabled by someone like Bennett to think that he's going alright, when the reality is, he's one of the worst in our team. Hell, he's actually probably the worst in team. And he's the captain. Even if he wasn't the captain, doubt he gets dropped, the reserve grade coaches don't deserve that.

Seibold's thoughts on Darius, form not as bad as Roberts and Isaako.

"Darius is probably an easy target," he said.
"Any fullback in the competition is an easy target because any error that you make is magnified 10-fold because you are there by yourself.
"Darius is doing some really good things in some areas of his game and there are things he wants to work on and improve. The thing about Darius is that he is a great professional and works really hard at training.
"It is my job to point out the areas that he can be better with. We have constant communication. Darius is our captain and the best option at fullback at the moment. I love his attitude."
