As I have stated several times, I am one of the longest term and most consistent Boyd haters but if he is referring to the end of the Tigers game, he has a point. He ran out of the line to stop the dropkick attempt and then ran back to fullback position and had just arrived and turned back around when that Tigers player bust through. He should have been yelling at certain players to get up there and run out to stop the dropkick.

Other than that, it is of course a stupid comment. He is trying too hard to tackle?

What matters is his current form and attitude on field which for some time as a captain and fullback, its been below par. So if you want to compare apples with apples, he isn't even close to an Australian or Queensland player anymore.

Yeah but that is how it read. There is no need for us to get over it. He is playing well below standard and we are criticising him for it. I have respect for what Boyd has achieved throughout his career, he turned out to be a far better player than I thought he was going to be.

The fact still stands however that he is setting a poor example for his young and impressionable team mates to follow.

Call me a clown all you like but it won't stop me from commenting on his deficiencies as a player and leader.

That's the problem mate. He's played at the highest level and done well. We should be expecting a bit more than he is showing at the moment. He needs to lead by example and use his experience as a former Australian and Queenland rep to show the young fellas what it takes.

I AM NOT ! Talking about the way his playing or what he's saying , I'm talking about the shit that is being said about him. We all no he isn't playing well but so are many of our players. And I think he deserves some respect for what he's achieved , there is literally pages of dribble about him.

Rugby league is a sport, based on competition. If a player is not competitive they are not valuable to the team.

I like that the club keeps their culture that old boys lead young boys by showing actions on the field, but I certainly don’t appreciate old fellows bossy around just because they are senior by age.

I know most of our leader group players are fathers already, everyday I woke up, I told myself it’s a new day, I got to earn my wife and my baby girl’s respect, it’s not given for granted. I wish they could do the same to our club and fans.

Once again, let me state I have been among the longest and most consistent Boyd haters and he is playing poorly but @pagey has a point. He is getting unfairly blamed for a lot. I'm thinking specifically about the Tigers try at the end of that game, about him running the ball over the sideline last weekend and about Leilua brushing him off to score last weekend.

But at the same time the way he has been missing one on one tackles and waving his arms around at...... not sure what, when opposition players go past him when he should e making an effort to stop them, even if it's almost certainly futile, isn't acceptable!
