Brett Finch quits Eels

Parra have released him unconditionally so he can play where ever he wants.

I wonder if Storm have the money, he would fit in well with their set play style and let Smith stay at hooker.

He is similar to Cronk though.
 
Finch is a better running player than organiser. I think he'd go well outside Cronk. I hope he doesn't go there, the Storm will actually be stronger.
 
Yeah agree, he will let all their guns play in their right spots. Melb to me is the obvious choice for him as he is looking for a club with a premiership chance.
 
Well last i remember, storm were having severe salary cap problems, but seeing as they sacked tomato they may have just enough to fit him in if he goes for cheap.
 
I just watched the Brett Finch interview on the Footy Show...
He lied.
He has been in contact with the Melbourne Storm prior to his unconditional release.
Wait until the Storm rumours surface and act suitably surprised.
You will hear them, because they are quite advanced.
 
Can I act suitably disinterested instead?


The club didn't want him, he has probably known for a while. He did the right thing by them by being diplomatic, and the right thing by himself by finding another job.

Good on him.
 
And showed more self control than most boof head footballers by not smacking voss when he went on and on about him letting his mates down.
 
On the radio today, they were saying Anderson told a few of them they won't be in 1st grade & it was like a challege to fight for their positions & Finch went running to the media.

They said it was like what WB did several years ago with Carne, Walters & Hancock.
 
Yep. And hancock was the only one to have the balls to stay and fight. And played for another 4 seasons.
 
Yep, I'll bet Anderson is happy he did it and found out what type of player Finch is - just wants the easy guarunteed spot rather than proving he deserves his spot.
 
At least he's not a gutless knob like willie carne and is staying in rugby league.
