You guys are all insane. Milford is our best person in the backline, by quite a way as awell. Staggs is wayy too inconsistent, lots of errors and poor in defence.

Milford won't be going anywhere. He is easily our best playmaker, and still in the top 5 five-eights in the game.

Our backs are actually okay really.
Bird, Staggs, Oates, Isaako, Kahu, Arthurs, Perese, Shibasaki, Coates, Farnsworth are all centre/wing options. Halves, Milford, Croft, Dearden (SOS when back) are all solid halves options. Macca and Turpin in the hooker. Our depth is actually quite good across the park to be fair.

Totally agree. Milf was the whole spine last year and to be honest he was our only half for a few. Its extremely hard to break a game open when every defence knows your the only kicker, the only ball player and the only running threat in the spine. Teams just swamped Milf. I think he can hace his best year since 15 next year if the club follows through and puts some options around him.

There's nothing to suggest Seibold wanted Kahu back, and in any case he'll get injured again as soon as he's fit. Farnworth and Arthars have to be ahead of him. Boyd potentially ahead of both for "experience" and PR reasons.. I want Farnwrth to get the first shot, he looked good in his NRL appearances and it sounds like his QCUP season was strong.

I’m Team Farnworth too. He didn’t look out of place and went looking for work on kick returns. His Qcup was pretty good: 20 tries in 16 games, 62 goals @ 76%, 18 linebreaks, 64 tackle breaks, avg 136m a game. For a 19yo centre/winger that’s a fair season

I’m Team Farnworth too. He didn’t look out of place and went looking for work on kick returns. His Qcup was pretty good: 20 tries in 16 games, 62 goals @ 76%, 18 linebreaks, 64 tackle breaks, avg 136m a game. For a 19yo centre/winger that’s a fair season

Yep. I would put him ahead of both Boyd and Kahu. All we want is for players to earn their selection and I think he has.

I get why the Milford hate happens but like others have said the guy was essentially playing 3 positions. I can't really get on the milf hate train when even Lockyer wouldn't have had a good year having to be most the spine on his own. 2020 sounds like it will be a better year already though!

I don't think it is Milford hate. That word gets thrown around way too much. It is the fact that he is the team's highest paid player and yes, anyone including Lockyer, would struggle to play three positions and especially with two spuds in the spine BUT the problem is that he drifts in and out of the game, he lacks professionalism in his all round approach and it does not set a good example when your team's marquee player is not the standard that you want set.

I'd say the heat is on Milford this season now. At the best part of a million bucks himself, he must know we don't have a lot left over to buy another gun Half, so Croft is likely to be as good a partner as we can give him. I'm comfortable giving him the benefit of the doubt that a proper Halfback was what he needed to unlock his game, so lets see what he can do with a full preseason and season alongside a proper Halfback. It's honestly on him now to either sink or swim I feel.
