Broncos best attack in NRL

We'll beat Sharks, lose against Manly, lose against Souths, we'll beat Penrith at home, lose against Parramatta away without origin players, and we'll beat the Tigers at home. That's how I see it. I don't think we'll do any worse than that, in fact we could even do better.

So in our next 8 games, we'll get 10 points out of a maxium of 16. That's pretty good, because we've won the last 2, so in our last TEN games, we would have got 14 points out of a maxium of 20.

I suspect Parramatta might miss Hayne more than we'll miss Lockyer, Thaiday and Folau though.

And by game 3, with the series already in Qld's hands, NSW will probably throw Daniel Mortimer in as a desperate attempt to do something different :P

Best thing about last week was the Titans score only 1 try - And it was off a lost ball my Wallace and Tomane happened to be there to pick it up. He made his own luck, good on him but it's better that we concede a try like that rather than one from a backline movement or hole up the middle.
Exactly. That was the most pleasing part, the attitude in defence has done a complete 180, they just need to turn up with the same attitude every week.

There's was probably some serious talking going on with Ivan and the players. Full credit to him if he was responsible for their attitude change.

Pfffft! Come off it. It was all the players.

Remember, when a team is playing well, it's the players.
When a team is playing badly, it's the coach's fault.

What is the approximate amount of points needed to make the finals considering Melbourne are out of the race.

Is it 24, 26, or around 28? The two buys automatically give 4 points.

Depends on results, but the last few years, 8th has been:

2009: Parra (29)
2008: Warriors (30)
2007: Brisbane (24)
2006: Parra (28)
2005: Manly (28)
2004: Canbera (26)

So with one team basically not counting, and them taking a lot of wins off people, and currently the fact teams in 7, 8 and 9 are on 10 ponits, I'd say 26 could be enough to make the 8, but more likely 28.

So how many games do we have left? Basically wanting to know how many we have to win and how many we can afford to lose, assuming 28 will get us into the top 8.

Played 10, have 8 points.
2 byes (equals 4 points).
So 12 points.

14 games remaining.
Need 16 points (8 wins).
So 8/14 should get us into the 8. 6 more losses allowed.

If you look at the Broncos' round 9 and 10 form, damn right it's doable!

If you look at the form round 3-8....nnnnnnot so much.

I try not to think about those games. That game against Knights still gets me angry.

Yeah 40-0 flogging from the Storm. Heaps lucky!!

Haha, obviously that year was very unlucky in almost every other way, but we were lucky to make the 8 if it only took 24 points.

If we didn't have all the injuries we did in 07 I reckon we would have come close to winning again.

It was ours until Lockyer went down and then the rest of the team followed. [icon_thumbs_do

Big time!
That's pathetic when you think about it.
I don't remember if there were two bye rounds back then but if there was than that means we only won 10 games out of 24 and made the finals, LOL.

On a side note the more games St George and Melbourne win the better our chances of making the finals (as long as we beat them when we play them).
