Broncos in fantasy land

You could very well be right. I jumped to a pretty rash conclusion but I guess come round 1 we'll know what Hook has planned. Hopefully Hook restores my confidence a little and coaches his players to attempt making line breaks (especially the forward pack) they're capable but just didn't do it last year. It makes for boring football but I guess now with prince we may be able to score once in the 20.

Yeah I don't get it at all, and I'm sick of arguing with people about it, it's ridiculous

No....it's not ridiculous at all. Hannant has become ineffective. He goes to ground too easily and regularly loses the fight in the tackle. Off loads are too few to mention.

His work rate is still ok but, at times you have to wonder is he just making up the numbers. We need a dominant prop forward and we just aren't getting that with Hannant.

Comparing him with Matulino last week-end was like chalk and cheese. Matulino was continually breaking the line and carrying 3-4 defenders with him, and getting his arms free.

I was talking about the hate, the hate that wants him out of the team. His form is down at the moment but he still has a place in the team, I never disagreed that he should not be starting currently

Any suggestion Hannant shouldn't be in the 17 is laughable. Prop is one of the areas we have a real lack of quality depth. So you don't leave out an Origin and International prop just because he's down on form!

Absolutely.

Aside from which, when the team goes well, sooner than later, everyone seems to find top form, and this year, we will hopefully have the secret ingredient missing since Lockyer retired: someone who can set up a creative play and who understands that in football, in attack that is, it is the ball that does the work, and therefore is always looking FIRST to get the ball moving unless there is a compelling reason to hold onto it and not pass.

.... and i do confess that as much as I enjoy watching a player run over the top of another with sheer strength, or good footwork, that is still not what wins matches: support play and getting the ball out to runners in open spaces does, which is where we failed miserably last year when it counted.

This is of course separate to defence
