Haven't heard anything Brad, the coverage of the NYC is pretty abysmal.

Stats are up on NRL Stats.com

Lots of stand outs as you'd expect.

Kurt Capewell
Cameron Cullen
Jayden Berrell
Stephen Coombe
Caleb Timu
Benjamin Garcia
Jo Ofahengaue

Jai Arrow was pretty strong in the second half as well, scoring two tries, breaking 9 tackles with 11 runs and 20 tackles.

So far, some real positive signs for our 20s.

Just need a few good centres and wingers to come through.

Aye, Byrnes was pretty handy too - set up two linebreaks. In saying, I'm fairly sure he achieved that when he was at fullback - I get the impression he and Capewell alternate. Palau is also missing, don't know if he has much of a future in the backs, but he's more of a natural than Oates and Forrester.

Don't know if it'd ever work, but I'd like to see the Broncos organise a trade with a club for some backs. Say, trade a bloke like Baptiste who would start at a ton of clubs for a good up and coming back. It'd be risky, but long term it might be exactly what the club needs.

I think the biggest difference so far has been the inclusion of Benjamin Garcia. In the past, we've opted for tackle bots like Guy Ford, James Ackerman & Benn Malley. Honest toilers, but didn't offer enough defensively to make up for their offensive shortcomings. Garcia on the other hand is making upwards of 15 quality runs and 30+ tackles. It's providing us with more go forward enabling the likes of Cullen to weave their magic.

I like that a lot of players coming through have a bit of size on them. Oates, Timu, Ofahengaue etc. all have good frames to work with. I think our first grade side sorely lacks that at the moment.

i watched the mm cup devils game friday night against the magpies and there were 2 standouts for the devils, the 9 and 8 were really strong in attack and defence. I would think that they would be part of the broncos system and probably not far opff getting a chance in the 20's??The 1 for the devils has brilliant hands and is lighning quick as well.

Yep Pondekas and Ostwald are in the 20s squad. Pondekas has been on the radar for a number of years as a future prospect. Unsure about Ostwald though.

Haven't heard anything about Adrian Henley.

Does anyone have the oil on Oates. Is he injuried?

Not sure. Both our centres from last week have not been named but are also not on the injured list. I was wondering if they had been farmed out to Q Cup for some experience.
Forrester and Oates ???????????

Oates & Adams in.

O'Keefe and Molo out.

Game has just kicked off.

Timu a try and solid game, Oates scored a fantastic try from inside his own half and then had a very forgettable night as he dropped everything else thrown to him. Adams had a good game setting up a try and scoring one himself. He also pulled off the loudest hit I have heard at Suncorp. The crowd around me were excited with it but not the storm player as he took a while to get going again. Byrnes solid again and scored a couple of tries

NRLstats have updated their coverage of the match.

Looks like a very scrappy game, 31 errors in total with completion rates only in the 60% mark.

Forwards were stand outs in particular Garcia, Berrell, Timu & Arrow.

Splinter, did #12 Greinke go off injured? It appears he didn't play at all in the second half.

He went off but did not appear injured. Adams had a cracking game when he came on and maybe this is what kept Greinke off the field.
Never noticed too much of Adams before but if he could play like he did every week he would slot straight into A grade. I forgot Arrow as well, special mention to him as he seems as good a mover at lock as I have seen in attack. Made a couple of line breaks with no opening in front of him just with body swerve.
The team have improved since the first game and there now appears a couple of likely lads in this team. The Melbourne fullback won the game on his own, apart from him Broncs do it easy. Shame but he was really good

Yeah I have huge wraps on Denny Solomona.

Matt Lodge also looks like a great pick up. Apparently ran for over 200m!

Must say I was not taking too much notice of their players but Solomona just stood out. I think Greinke just never got back on because of Adams, Arrow, and Ofahengaue playing well

Harry Pondekas scored 4 and kicked 7 goals against Wynnum. Not bad for a young fella. Could be pressing for a 20's bench spot.

Didn't realize Pondekas was a goal kicker as well. He has only just turned 18 but would assume he will get a run in the 20's this season sometime

Interesting to see young Ashley Taylor named as starting halfback with Cullen back to the bench. Taylor finished the match last week, had a couple of nice touches including putting a kick hrough for Byrnes to pick up and put Adams over for a try. Will watch with interest if he is still there for the Cowboys game as don't know much about him.
anyone else have any information?

Garcia shifted to prop also
