If there’s any truth, surely you’d look at Taylor and go ‘hmm maybe the Gold Coast aren’t the best option’. I mean they’ll probably have a spot for him, but I’d try my luck in Super League before going there

I disagree a bit, I think it's just Taylor that's not particularly good. Another example of a talented U20s player who never seemed to progress to a gun NRL player. I think a real quality half will still look quality regardless of where he plays, even if it's a shittier club.

I would definitely not be writing Isaako off; he couldn't put a foot wrong last year in a dream debut season....the game has a funny way of finding you out though, and for his development and career arc, this is a important time for him to realise the weaknesses in his overall game and work hard to rectify them.

There is zero point in giving up on a talent like him with such a high ceiling because he is finding things tough at the moment.....stick with him and give him your support....I think in a few years you'll be glad you did
