Excellent I expect him to be lining up for us by our next game.

Can someone tell what joy people get from posting BS rumours?
 
I wouldn't be getting excited about Barba yet, I know Broncos want him, but I am not sure what he or the Bulldogs want.
 
As for Widdop, don't believe anything his dad says (in regards to both rumours that Broncos have expressed interest and also that he's staying in storm). I think everyone would agree that the Broncos are interested. I've also heard Widdop has told his dad to shutup :) I think he'd be stupid to come to the Broncos though, I wouldn't if I were him, even for more money. Under Bellamy and playing with the big 3 is where you want to be, more chances of a premiership title.

It's not really being gullible.

Barba has been linked to the Broncos, there are issues at the Dogs and a rumour is posted by a member that has been on the site for a long time.
When it's someone that has signed up today and posts some outlandish rumour, then I'd call that gullible.

I guess I fail to see the fun in posting BS rumours at a time when Brisbane desperately need to sign a few decent players!

he's already won a premiership. i think broncos are a better club than the storm.
 
I think it's fun because so many people claim to be "in the know", but they don't say who they are, who their contacts are (not by name, but by their association to the club) and expect us to believe them.

And our "journalists" are the worst at it. Although at least we know their names.
 
Thank god Soward has signed with the Panthers, got enough average playmakers as it is.

Well I confess that I do not normally get involved in rumour mongering, although, I will confess that I was taken in by this latest one. It's origins were very close to the club and not sure what the reason was behind promoting something that in the end was proven to be grossly incorrect. I have been in and around this forum for 10 years or so and have never (to the best of my knowledge) posted any rumour. I waited until I heard it from multiple sources before I said anything and was still left with egg on my face. Had it been true, we would all have been crowing, it wasn't and, well, life moves on. It did sound too good not to post though...
 
As per the table I posted on the last page, the last big signing (that wasn't previously a Bronco) we had was Folau in 2009.

Had we had our shit together (balls-up clearing the decks for WB) Inglis would have been it.
 
Given the effect that big signing had on our club that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Although I do believe it's time to pursue somebody, especially with Norman walking out the door.
