For two more seasons.

THE NRMA Insurance Broncos have today re-signed Alex Glenn and Jordan Kahu for another two NRL seasons.
The pair have inked deals that will keep them at the Broncos until the end of the 2017 NRL season.
Glenn, 27 years old, joined the Broncos for the 2008 season and made his NRL debut in round 1 of 2009.
He has now played 163 NRL matches for the Broncos, and represented New Zealand in 10 Tests.
Kahu has now played 30 NRL matches after overcoming injuries that hampered his early career.
The 24-year-old has played 17 of those matches this year as he cements himself in the Broncos’ team.
Chief executive Paul White said the two signatures were wonderful news for the club as the Broncos approach the NRL finals series.
“It is a really pleasing day for the club to re-sign two young gentleman like this pair,” said Broncos’ chief executive Paul White.
“Both have been with the Broncos since they were teenagers and have graduated into the NRL from our under-20s team.
“Alex was captain of our first NYC team, led them to a grand final, and now has played well over 150 NRL matches.
“Jordan has shown courage and tenacity to make himself an NRL regular after suffering some terrible injury setbacks.
“It is a big day for the Broncos to lock these two up for another two years each.”

It's been a long time in the making, but it's good to see the Broncos secure two quality talents.

That leaves Thaiday & Dodds as our next priorities to re-sign

Great news for all Bronco fans. I must admit I was thinking I would not have thought less of Jordon if he retired early last year. Congratulation to him and his family for all the hardships faced; now comes the time to seek the rewards.

Great news, but just a bit of food for thought regarding Thaiday..

After how good McGuire & Blair have been this year, and with the long term investments we have in Glenn, Gillett, Oates.. Do we really think re-signing Thaiday for another 2-3 years is in our best interest now? He's had a great year mind you, I'm just not sure if economically speaking it would be the smartest decision to spent something like $500k a year on a guy who's more than likely an impact prop off the bench when we're fully healthy, and even then he'll be battling for minutes against Wallace, Gavet, Ofahengaue, Molo, Dodds.. Who are all competent.

I get what you're saying, but Thaiday has been really good for us in the front row, especially after we lost McGuire, and I don't think any of the guys you mention can compete to his best level. Ofa will hopefully get there, although I see him more of a workhorse type, than a impact player.
Obviously, he would have to take a salary cut, as I don't think he commands that sort of money anymore...

Super wrapped about keeping Glenn and especially Kahu!

Gavet won't be in our 17 next year, let alone replacing Thaiday.

One recent article stated that a large proportion of Thaiday's salary will be third party deals. And I dare say he'd be sharing some of the long-standing player allowance with Parker. So I don't think Thaiday will be much more than $300k/yr under the cap.

Because there'll be no spot for him? Wallace and Oates are getting better, he's not going to replace anyone in the starting pack, he might steal Dodd's spot if we don't resign him but apart from that, there's no room.

Offa might get a few more starts next year too as we start to ramp up his development. We haven't really missed Gavet this year so i don't see why he'd waltz back into the side?

On current form for Dodds, Wallace, Offa etc compared to Gavet's form at the Tigers, Gavet is streets ahead IMO. The biggest factor is how he'll come back from the injury.

I disagree, Bennett didn't sign him to play behind Dodds, Wallace, or Ofahengaue. Not in 2016 anyway.

A strong pre season should get him a spot on the bench which will be his to lose.

I'm hoping Gavet could be a massive plus for us next year, really excited to see what he can offer, he was more or less on par with Martin Tapau at stages last season, they were the wrecking crew coming off the bench.

Thaiday will sew up a bench spot next year along with Gavet IMO.

Great impact off the bench there !!
