When he was playing outside of Staggs late in the year I thought he was quite good. Just needs to focus on being a winger, he's won the broncos more games by individual brilliance than he's lost.
That’s not true. In 2019 his drops led to numerous game changing tries by the opposition. He put us under more pressure than anyone did

Yeah I tend to agree. I’ve been playing a lot of games from the last 2 seasons in the background while working from home and Isaako is a comedy of errors on the wing too.

He’s the kind of player you’d have a love hate relationship with if you were a team like the roosters who are good enough to absorb the added pressure he puts you under which allowed you to enjoy his freakish moments. We aren’t that team though.

I'd like to see him given another chance, on the wing. It might be his last chance though.

What should've happened: Kevvie should've traded Jamayne to the Warriors and used the cash to upgrade Walsh, and put him straight into the fullback spot. Which was so fucking obviously the right move after the trials. Everyone would've be happy with that. Including Jamayne who could've reunited with his family.

That’s not a bad point. No way of knowing if it was realistic or not though.

You know, I think we might've escaped a bullet with Walsh though. He's a cocky little ****, which impressed me in the trials, but it mightn't be what Kevvie wants around the squad at the moment.
Yeah, I also think we needed to put our foot down around rushing young players into first grade or being scared or losing talent. Walsh stings the most out of all of them but in the long run I think it will do a lot for club culture - especially around earning a start in the NRL through an apprenticeship in Q Cup. Melbourne does this very well.

They’re may not be as naturally talented players as Walsh come through anytime soon (Mozer maybe) but we will always have guns on the production line and need to be confident enough in that system to make them wait before being handed a jersey. Mam, Piakura, Cobbo, Mozer, and Willison are all potentially massive talents and over the last few years we’ve seen Haas, Coates, Staggs, and Fifita (to a lesser extent Flegler, Carrigan, Hetherington and Herbie). They’ll keep coming through.

Hopefully with Ikin and DD in the picture we will do a better job of getting their contracts right on the way through so we don’t lose the ones we want to keep. We will also have a more stable NRL team with any luck and so we won’t need to rush them into the NRL team so quick or panic if they start looking over the fence.

I agree with you but we are only in that position cause of how good Cobbo is turning out to be.

Which implies management got this call right. Niu is more than serviceable for now and Cobbo looks like he might well turn out to be the next big thing. Identifying which talent to stick with with young 'uns is a difficult thing but the Broncs appear to have gotten this one very right.

Per his manager on LinkedIn Ethan qaui Ward has signed a full-time NRL contract with the broncos.

I would have preferred Hoeter but Quai-Ward has been really good for the Magpies and can play anywhere in the backline as opposed to a specialist centre, so understandable depth signing. He's good.

I think I would've prefered hoeter but in kevvie we trust I guess

strange move considering he's on a train and trial, you'd think a decision would be made further into the pre season. maybe someone is leaving.
I agree. Very earlier into the off season

Maybe they got spooked after the Dolphins snagged Harrison.
