Rogers should get a top 30. The final round against the Storm he was the one wrangling Faalongo all the time, after he carved the rest of the team up.

Rumour has it they have switched out the chicken sandwich fridge for a bin of hair. Recruitment and Retention ain’t playing games anymore.

"You have upped your offer from a small office-based plastic bin to a larger kitchen-type one. However another club has offered a garden-waste type bin full of hair and my client is very serious about taking it".

Relax bro,
take a haircut -
informal
to agree to accept less money for something
They may have to take a haircut on their investment.

Like some of us might hate the term “fark me” 😜
Just because some dimwit makes it up, and it kinda catches on primarily due to the overall dimwittery of the public, that doesn't make it right.

I agree with you though on 'fark me', my mistake, I was trying to express the level of my frustration without being a total potty mouth; next time I'll go with the tried and true, socially acceptable, 'goodness me'

You blokes fretting about Mam, Riki, Piakura, etc not signing before the Nov cutoff, or soon after, shouldn't panic: Herbie and Flegs didn't sign until late Feb. They haven't even had their secret dinners yet.

Its a strange situation we find ourselves in. There are a host of high profile off contract 5/8s that have hit the market. The only one I can see leaving is potentially Luai but i think deep down he knows hes nothing without a great halfback organising the team. As for Mam and Dearden neither of them have the kicking game to trouble the best teams so they will remain second string halves wherever they end up.

Interested to see what happens. I don't think successful teams should be throwing the kitchen sink at these two players, despite their abilities to run the ball and compete, none of them are worth over $800k.

I know some of our guys have not signed, and the only reason it irks me is because Cane toad Gould is still active. The sooner he retires from the NRL fulltime, the better our game, our club, our players and my peace of mind will be.

If anyone can wangle a deal and entice a player away from their club to come over to their club, Gould can. He has the gift of the gab in footy terms and is able to fill the players' heads with all sorts of pie in the sky nonsense.

He's a self-confessed hater of all things Qld. yet conversely he has modeled Penrith on our club after studying our setup extensively. Make no mistake he still carries a burning resentment from the Super-League days and likes nothing better than to see us fail.

The sooner our players are signed up the better.

Mam has had a near identical season as Milford did in 2015. An incredible season as a running half with highlight reel tries. All capped off with a superb grand final performance with one hand on the Clive Churchill only to be pipped at the post.

Now he’s at the Milford crossroads where clubs will throw big money at him and try to make him their main man even though he hasn’t played any rep football. I’m sure he’ll handle it better than Milford did but will be interesting to see how it all unfolds. I don’t think he’s ready for the big bucks yet though.

The market should have players a bit timid getting big contracts too soon. Milford and Ash Taylor are the prime example but there are so many other examples of people who fade away after securing a big contract. Almost always ends their career.

The thing you can't plan for is a basket case club throwing ridiculous money at players and it could happen with Mam. I doubt it will tbh, I think he will sign but I do think he has offers on the table elsewhere.

I think our biggest rivals for Mam will be the dolphins. Cowboys will have their hands full trying to get Dearden to stay and the Titans only want forwards. I don't think he is the type of player that would leave QLD. Piakura on the other hand seems like a mercenary from his last contract negotiations so it will most likely be the highest bidder for him

Lol Ash Taylor. I remember how he was meant to be the next big thing.

Cowboys are looking to move on Jason Taumalolo and he could be a very handy pick up if Cowboys agree to take up half his contract. We would need to drop a player and Capewell would need to go. But we have Riki and Piakura already to go and could pick up Jason, off the bench or lock.

No we aren’t in a position to be doing that sort of shit.
