That is a very underwhelming signing... probably ok as depth... doubt it means he's a starter.

Won't lose both of Cobbo and Staggs, and already have Mariner to play one centre spot.

I think its a decent signing. We are signing a player probably on a reasonable contract who comes from a system where they do all the effort areas you want from all your players.

Hi guys, can confirm Brisbane has signed Grant Anderson from the Storm and are looking at playing him at centre in 2026. Trying to get an early release from Melbourne for next season but the Storm aren't budging at the moment. Not sure what this will mean for either Staggs or Cobbo. Looks like Madge might be planning for one of them not being there in 2026.

Anderson looks like a quality player from what I saw of him in Storm games this year (8 tries from 14 games), very reliable and offers good utility value in that he covers centre, wing and even played a game in the halves this year. Bellamy really rates him and is pissed he has signed with Brisbane.

Not a bad signing, good depth cover for multiple positions. looked good this season in the games I saw

I wanted to sum up my feelings behind the Hunt signing, but then realised Rugby League Writers have actually done it better than me so...

Here is what they said;

Finally, Ben Hunt has found a new home as the last moving chair.

A State of Origin and Kangaroos halfback/hooker is joining a Brisbane Broncos team already stacked with talent. Brisbane’s problems have been health and playmaking experience in recent years. Hunt solves both following his NRL-high 30 try assists in 2024 and his career of availability and durability.

Hunt can take control of the team if Adam Reynolds isn’t available, act as a wider pivot while Ezra Mam navigates his off-field issues, and, should both be out there, slot into hooker where he has excelled at representative level.

There isn’t much to analyse here. It’s a home run for the Broncos, who look set to have one bad year before propelling themselves back into premiership contention.

Grant anderson I can understand and like the signing. Good versatility. Just a bit whelmed by it though lol... priority is surely second row depth if they are trying to get him for next year

That is an amazing centre pairing and I do hope we keep them both, but hopefully the Brisbane Broncos don't pay them too much just to keep them.

I would definitely like to see John Bateman at the Brisbane Broncos and tigers are willing to pay part of his salary too. Billy Walters is the hopeless one that needs to go.

Maybe he is looking for an upgrade on Arthars. Arthars has done well since coming back from the Wahs, but he isn't what i would call a top level winger

Outside backs probably get the most injuries .
Running faster and get hit at more angles than middles . More quality players in outside backs is good IMO .

And re Reyno - People saying he only plays half a season ? Is he gonna tear his bicep every season ?

It’s for two years starting in 26. He’s definitely signed.
