Man could you imagine Cobbo in that system? He'd have a heart attack. And even if they do sign him, there is absolutely no way we should do an early release, the Storm wouldn't do that for us.

Just because a contingent of BHQ people don't rate Cobbo - he's very highly rated in NRL circles. With a half decent coach leading him, who knows what he'll become.

Who is Cobbo worse than in the Storm backline? You could poorly argue Paps and maybe Coates but at absolute worst, he is a similar level. He is way better than Meaney, Warbrick and Howarth. None of those guys have the upside Cobbo does because very few young players in the comp do.

Doesn’t matter what your upside is when you don’t see it. Will Warbrick is leaps and bounds better than Cobbo. By the end of last year Warbrick was the best winger in the comp. Meaney and Howarth are both on less and far better centres. In that situation Cobbo has to play centre. Just not happening. Can’t even beat out Mariner and Shibasaki to centre and Meaney and Howarth are way better than those 2. Doesn’t matter in the slightest what you can do if you only do it one play a game or a handful of times in the season. The Storm have absolutely zero reason to go scouring for backs. As it stands the Storm really have zero reason to go and get anyone for there starting 13 and they sure ain’t finding a better player at our club that they can lay a finger on.
