I’ve got back into Jiu Jitsu in a big way and following UFC / MMA more than the NRL to be perfectly honest these days. It’s more than just the Broncos stinking it up. The NRL is slowly rear naked choking it’s own sport into submission and I am quite bored with it, mostly.

Didn’t even watch origin the other night. Was watching old Steve “Wonderboy” Thompson fights…

@Sproj one for you in the same vein as Jibasaki... i.e. a player without a job as of November 1.

The winger that dominated the broncos on the weekend Clayton Faulalo only has a deal for this year and is normally behind Saab, Lehi, Talau, etc.

He's 25 this year... so not some hot shot junior... averaging 165m a game in NSW Cup.

He looked skilful and tough in his hitups... wouldn't be disappointed if broncos had a word with him.

Has played fullback, wing and centre in cup.
47 tries in 49 appearances.
Has a highlight package from 24 on YouTube.

I feel like we can talk about this until we are blue in the face but the club doesn't seem to consider these types for some reason.

I don't think they look at nsw cup players enough. We got hosking from Newcastle's nsw cup team, and there are some pretty handy halves around.

We definitely need to look outside the Qcup... the quality isn't coming through there at the moment so there is no point broncos handicapping themselves because "QUEENSLANDER".

Sounds like a guy that provides far more value than Hoeter.

Has a left arm carry, which can be rare to find, but makes him useful as a left side winger... plays a fair bit on the right though, so can play both sides.

Looks skilful, quick hands, catching poor passes, catching bombs, setting up his man, etc.

Looks like he backs up with support play aswell.
15 try assists from 20 games in 24 as well.

He's with pacific sports management who already have Cobbo, Rogers, Smoothy and Madden at the club aswell as Grant Anderson if reports are true that he's coming.
And had Kev and Cartwright as well.
So It's not like his management is no stranger to the club.

Totally agree. The guy looked pretty good and if we were to offer him a gig, his dollars earned with us would go a long way and he could cement his spot next to Anderson(center) on the wing. Those 2 then would make Adam’s life a whole lot easier with their 80min efforts every week.

None of Staggs & Cobbo must be offered contract extensions. Had enough of their piss poor efforts. They must go.
 
I wonder if it's David fifita , possibly before June 30 as a player swap of some sort . Would also mean stages or cobbo to be let go.

I think Dave is toxic and the archetype player that got us in to the position we’re in - uncoachable, low footy IQ, high ceiling/low consistency.

All that being said, he’s an unbelievable talent. I wouldn’t mind having him, it would just mean we need to release other existing similar players and replace them with smart, consistent players to balance it out.

If we got Dave on 500k, it would mean we need to push out Cobbo, maybe Staggs, one of Piakura or Riki - and replace them with a couple Capewell types.

I don't think we can look at a player like Fifita until we get our leadership group in order.

Would love to have Fifita, but he needs a strong playing group around him to call him out and keep him focussed.

Most definitely he is a complete unknown atm of which way he goes, and I'm not saying we should take him on.
Considering Grant is coming next year and we have a few cheap backrowers on the chopping block, it just seems to make sense to me.

If he won’t do it for Tino, I really don’t know if he’d do it for any of our guys 🤐

And given his age and injury history, that improvement isn’t happening. He’s been a good squad man but he’s done.
