Redfern was here first. His connections don't fk about.

Not great for player wellbeing on behalf of Sydney clubs either. That should really be investigated

Dave said he is trying to raise the issue with the NRL and I suspect bringing it up here is a way of directing attention to it.

As others above mentioned, this is really dodgy, makes things really unfair. Not only does it really reduce players non-NSW clubs can access, it really dilutes QLD systems. Given how few Qld players are making it through in those NSW systems comparatively, what is happening to them when they get poached? Are they just getting poached and then disappear through a system already producing high calibre players? If what is happening is NSW is barring QLD clubs from getting them, we should be allowed to do the same.

I'm really surprised NSW clubs are allowed to do this.

If this is true and the Tigers have offered Reynolds 2 or more years for more money, he should take it.

Who is his replacement ?
And don`t say BHunt . I don`t think he is the way forward at #7 . 9 and 14 sure . #7 nah . I think he would struggle at #7 next year , a year older .
Does Black get time on the bench towards the end of season ?
Or do they buy a #7 ?

Good question but a few I would be very interested in while Black hopefully comes along are Duffy, Clifford and Sexton.

Not excited for any of them .
Can`t keep a job in 1sts any of them . And you wana give them the car keys ?

Umm ,, Savala or throw the cheque book and all the 3rd parties they can muster and get Katoa . That kid is the most impressive young half I have seen in a long time

I think that is just rehashing from weeks ago at this point, when Reynolds said other teams had been in contact.

Sure, throw the chequebook at him, do whatever you want. None of it relates to the point I made that if the offer for Reynolds is what the article says, he should take it. What that means for us isn't really his concern.

Seems to me it is just them "officially" tabling the offer to the whole of NRL I guess.

Rumour: Badel said that he will retire a Bronco at the end of next year. Pretty sure I read somewhere that we aren't keeping Madden around either for next year. Apparently going to SL for Leeds Rhino's. Not sure how accurate that is. But Baker, Taupau, Madden, Smoothy, and with the Souths rumours, maybe Cobbo are also gone.

I also can't see us keeping Hoeter around, since we have Anderson coming.

And as for the "what if" scenario if Reynolds doesn't resign. I could definitely see Sexton, Clifford, Savala and Duffy as candidates. I'll add Ben Hunt and Reynolds stats from last 2 years at HB before playing FE for us, for further comparison.

Reynolds kick metres per game 413meters on average. Defense at 88%. Try assist average 0.9

BHunt kick metres per game 450 meters. Defense at 82%. Try assist average 1.1

Duffy kick metres per game 375meters (in NRL and QCUP). Defense at 87%. Try assist average 1.5.

Sexton kick metres per game 330 meters. Defense at 91%. Try assist average 0.5

Savala kick metres per game 232 meters. Defense at 90%. Try assist average 0.4.

Coby Black (QCUP) Kick metres average 200meters. Defense at 91%. Try assist average 1.2.

Who would you prefer? and how would you go about it? Even if Reynolds resigns, life after Reynolds needs to be thought about.

Noting that Coby and Bhunt are off contract end of next year too.

Sexton is a proven plodder. Don't see Savala leaving Roosters on more than a loan deal, and Duffy looked far from NRL quality in his small sample size.

If Reynolds was to go, I can't see us bringing someone else in when we have Hunt there. The only way that possibly changes is if he finishes out this year in hooker and absolutely kills it.

You either are blocking Black by signing any of them for more than a year, signing them up long term signalling you don't think Black is the long term answer, or you are stuck offering 1 year deals which none would take as someone else will offer longer.

But Reynolds is staying so it doesn't really matter anyways.

It's not shocking or surprising- Katao signed with Dolphins, they let him play SG Ball and Panthers said wish you well, but we aren't putting effort into you for you to move to Redcliffe in six months. Why would Penrith keep letting you pick Cleary's brain?

He played out the year until he moved in November with his local club side Glenmore Park.

When Armstrong said he was going to Penrith the Broncos didn't keep letting him play for them and train, Trew isn't still at the Broncos training. What was going to happen to Oloapu post signing with the Dogs?

You have to factor that into your decision, if I can't move now because I have school like Katao did, then I might have a boring 6 months.

I understand that clubs aren't going to put effort into you anymore. The club signing you needs to consider that and consider what can be done- I am sure the Dolphins are happy with how it's panned out.
