Competition most likely anything that pushes our players to be better is a good thing especially at what you would think his price would be
Karapani, Shibasaki, Arthars, Anderson and to an extent Mariner gives us 5 decent options to fight it out for 3 spots next to Staggs. Balance

Still confused why we signed Anderson
Lack of depth leads to complacency. Look at riki and piakura last year. There was no depth and no one was pushing for their spot so their form was poor.

This year madge let them know their spots were not safe with jetski and wilison getting runs, and they have improved.

and yet we signed a winger and let go of one.

Madgeball.

We saved Shibasaki and brought him under Mage to be a origin player, he's not going anywhere.
I think he is worth around 300k/yr taking into account his previous years playing NRL mixed with the good from this year. Let's say Brisbane offer him that.

If another club comes in with a 600k offer, he is signing that deal.

Surely he wouldn't risk it since he's travelled around already and knows how hard it can be.

I think the plan always was from the club to get rid of Cobbo or Staggs.
Anderson was rumoured to have signed in November last year.
Even if Cobbo was In form all year, playing origin and worth 500k-600k we never would of had the money because of the Anderson signing.
He wasn't leaving the Melbourne system where he's the next man up to come be depth at the Broncos.
I think this was a DD signing not a Madge one.

Outside backs get more injuries .
Running faster and more angles . Need back ups . He`s a very good player . Rarely makes mistakes and executes when the pressure is on .

The manager is always a factor .
He has a between 5 and 10 % interest in any deal .

10 % of 600 K is substantialy more in the pocket of the manager as well .

I'm going to make up a rumour.

Patty said he, Gibasaki and Su'A were really good mates coming through the Broncs' system...so Patty to get in Su'A's ear to bring him home too?

I am a massive fan of Sua but he would be on a massive contract atm and would need a paycut. Ricky would need to be pushed out the door as well, but I would support him coming.

Make up a better rumour than that. I head Patty say that Walsh's cousins dogs best friends with Harry Grants cat therefor Harry is wanting to come to the club to be closer to everyone involved.

I think its an option in the future, but Sua signed an extension like last year.

No doubt he could kick some stones to get out and dargons look like they have a ton of young talent coming through... so they could be open to an early release

I wouldnt necessarily want to break the bank on Sua though... he looks like an upgraded version of Riki, but Piaks is showing that his running game is better than both.

Piaks needs to sort out his defensive reads and the 1%'ers... there was a moment against the wahs where he got spun around probably by Metcalf or something, but he turned like the Queen Mary with his back to the ball and dawdled back to the defensive line. The ball was never close to being tackled, so it was live the whole time and it was lucky that wahs didnt drop it under, because he would've had no idea where it was.

The real story is getting Jamal Shiba into Brisbane... can't believe journos haven't done a 1+1=broncos yet.

But the Jibasaki one is just one we at BHQ are pushing (and pushing hard of course), there is no indication it is even being considered let alone happening right?

As for Piaks, man I am such a fan. He really looks like he is becoming a gun and it is going completely under the radar because of Gibasaki's amazing re-emergence.
