I would love to get Cobbo back, even if it means we lose Gibasaki. We have Verhoeven coming through and Mariner anyway. Gibs has been a wonderful stop gap but I don’t really think he is must keep. Nice to have on a low wage, not worth a large one.

Knowing our luck we'd get the new Coates up and ready to abuse the Coates in the corner penalty try meta and they'd change the rules.
It's funny listening to Ivan vs Bellamy this week on the penalty try debate.

Bellamy is happy for it to stay as is... and why wouldn't he with Coates and Katoa.

Ivan doesnt like the rule... because he's got short ass wingers that he can see getting exploited in the near future.

These are the guys that the NRL bring in to help with rule changes every off season.

The NRL is riddled with bias and agendas and if you're on the outside of the boys club then you just have to sit back and take all the shit that they decide out of NSWRL HQ in Sydney

Yes they were both right though. Cleary saying that is not what the rule was intended for and Bellamy saying thems the rules as they stand and change them in the offseason if you want.
They will absolutely change the interpretation as of now though. Both competing play on.

Would love for Carryanus to publish which teams are routinely having 13 subs/headbins in each game. I suspect we will see 26 subs tonight.

The media are oblivious to the fact that this started as a Storm vs Broncos ruling. It was enacted due to it being the Storm vs the Broncos, it will go away this week. Was there a massive fuss made about Slater's "not an attempted field goal but we'll rule it that way anyway" ruling at the time?

A Storm v Panthers game is at least a window into the future about which unsportsmanlike tactic is the next to need attention. Trainers on the field is a definite blight, I used to think Alfie was annoying but then there was the Panther's trainers.

It's a head to head battle on who is the GOAT at cheating. It's going to be hard to ever beat the storm/ Bellamy but Ivan looks to be giving it a red hot crack.

Don't forget about Sticky... also Robinson was the one who introduced the tactical penalties on the goal line.

Remember when media couldn't comprehend how rorters could be the most penalised team in the comp, but also sitting near the top of the ladder... then they finally found out from Robinson that his team are happy to give away a penalty on the tryline instead of conceding a quick ptb.

That tactic is basically why we have 6 agains... so thanks Robinson... ya ****wit

Robbo and the chooks are also better at 'managing' their cap... Good call

This just shows incompetent the NRL is an organization. They change rules to stop teams taking advantages of situations when they should just enforce them.

The 6 again one is so obvious. All they had to do was sin bin the Roosters players for repeated infringements, which has been in the rule book forever. Instead, they create this stupid 6 again bullshit which is ruining the game.

Jack Bird has been granted permission to leave the Tigers. At the right price I wouldn't mind bringing him back.

He let the door hit himself on the way out, screw that. He was never worth what we paid him, he has arthritis or some degenerative condition and is only going to get worse. His best is WAY behind him, do not touch.

I wonder what the future for Arthars holds. Karapani and Mariner I would think have the wing spots to lose heading in to 2026 with Anderson most likely either first back up or replacing one of these two. I doubt Anderson is being picked over Shibs or Staggs. So where does that leave Arthars? I wonder if he might ask for a release.
