McGuire gave Mulitalo his first Kiwis jersey (good relationship) and a Brisbane boy when he moved to Australia, good chance his mum might still live here.
Might not have to completely break the bank and loose those 2 to get him here.

We still have the Pacific Championships to be played. Maybe with a bit of luck an unknown PNG, Cook Islands or Fiji 3/4 has a blinder and is worth a look at on a trial & train deal.

I'm thinking Ronaldo is potentially looking for more than Staggs, younger and effectively a better specialist winger than Staggs is as a specialist centre... and based on Cobbo's form this year I'd say teams could be looking to pay more for Ronaldo than him as well.

On potential Cobbo is worth the most out of the three, but he had a down year... teams going for Cobbo are hoping to get him on a good deal citing the risks that come with him... I would love it if we got Cobbo on a 1-2yr extension at a slight upgrade and then re-evaluate him from there, but it will come down to how hard his manager pushes things.

In regards to Ronaldo he's exactly what we would want out of a winger... gets through work, super fast, great finisher, competes for high balls and is an X factor player as well... I haven't paid too much attention to his defence, but he can be susceptible under the high ball with random cold drops out of nowhere.

But to get a winger with that much attacking upside who also provides workrate ... he's basically a player that fits into all systems across the league... and that is going to cost money... he ain't coming here on a cut price deal and him saying he's going to test his value on the market basically means he's looking for an absolute premium.

I think he's someone that could end up just about anywhere as well... would not be surprised to see him pop up anywhere from Nth Qld to NZ to Melb or just staying in Sydney... so I don't think you're getting a discount because he's only wanting SEQ.

Complete waste of money getting him. Winger is the least important position in a team and there would be a lot of broncos reserves that could fill the spot in and do the job well enough.

Hunt 2 years ago maybe for the right price.
Hunt for now, nah we good especially considering what he would want and where he would want to play.

It really depends on what ben would want to do at this stage of his career, dolphins will pay more and he will be starting halfback there and take on a real leadership role similar to what he does at dragons. Broncos he will have a utility/ dummy half role but could have a chance of making a proper finals run. I would love to have him back, still a great player that can single handly win you games.

Did you watch any games this year?
Our first choice wingers would struggle to get us past the 30m line..
Penrith build their game on the back of their outside backs doing the work.
Probably the only guy we've got in our 30 that is capable of doing this is Cobbo and you don't know what you're going to get with him and can't do it on his own.

Dragons aren't going to release him for next year, this is for the 2026 season.

by then I'd expect that Mozer will have secured his position as our number one hooker and we'll be well done the track of finding Reynolds success (at this stage looking like we're all in on Cody Black). of course Black may not be ready by 2026 to be the first choice half, but i doubt Hunt stays on the market long enough for us to determine if we need a stop[ gap or not

We will always be linked to Hunt but he's going to want a mill a season and we can't do that.
