We’ll make a living out of jobs which have some morals & ethics. Employers except their employees to adhere to their set rules if not, those violate will be shown the door.
The shit sandwich might’ve played some good footy during his schooldays as it with many other kids & based purely on that potential, Broncos signed him up at a young age. Had he learned & developed by putting in the hard yakka, he would’ve become a part of 30 and maybe included in 17 had things progressed normally. But no, shit sandwich wanted things instantly and his way.
Added to his worst behavior, he’s unfortunately surrounded by some stupid people with terrible advice.

I love Billy, but there were are couple of moments in that game where I saw him walking in defence. He looked a bit gassed, which is weird for a trial. I guess he played 80, but still - he didn't do that much to be so tired. I dont think he can handle the edges too much in defence, which would suck if we needed him to cover an injury to the half's.
Maybe age is catching up to him faster than some others.

Billy's attempt at tackling Preston when he went over for his try was pretty damn pathetic...

Our A team was excellent. We kept them scoreless.
I don't remember who came on exactly when, but they scored all 3 of their tries within 10 minutes in the second half. I'm pretty sure it was when Billy was at 9. And then Smoothy tightened things up when he came on.

What did impress me was gos' output. He ran just over 120m in his 40-50mins. Riki and piakura each ran about 40-55m in their 40mins. I think that out put is what madge wants to see riki and piakura respond to.

I like Smoothy - I think he’s a better player than he gets credit for. Maybe lacking a bit of running game for a modern hooker but his service is exceptional, defends fairly well, has a fine kicking game, good work ethic, and has the occasional arsey play in him.Smoothy To Join English Super League In 2026

Arthars is solid but I do wish we signed someone like Jeral Skelton.
The Gos seems like he’ll do a job on the left edge for now. Piakura shouldn’t be near the 17. I’m keen on Jett Bryce in the #11 long term. He’s exactly what we need there.
Mariner at right centre is a much better provider for Cobbo. Similar to Dane Gagai, Mariner is great at setting up his winger. This is something that has frustrated me about Staggs and why I have wanted to see him in the backrow instead where he only needs to focus on running and tackling hard.

If you want Skelton, you are in luck, we already have almost a carbon copy in Leota. But you'd have to be a bit crazy to want Skelton over Arthars based on the preseason and round 1.

This. You simply don't win Premierships without a few guys who are critically undervalued and underpaid, to balance out your Cap.
That is unless you're Penrith or the Roosters and the NRL is happy for you to just buy up the off-contract stars from any side missing the Top 8 to use in your finals campaign for a laughably nominal fee.
