Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2026

Genuinely might be worse. Teams are smarter to the system now so we're having teams challenge for head highs (teams didn't realise you could until Teddy's hail mary against Brisbane) and the second best team is a Penref clone.
Oh it's definitely worse... when I see a six again in the opening minutes of a game... I'm genuinely thinking about changing the channel.

I think I do a literal eye roll with a "you ****ing kidding me..."

We need a good, solid, fast, creative 9.
Amazes me with the resources that we’ve got that we just haven’t had one in forever.
Knights did a great job getting Harrison Graham.
In face the knights recruitment space has been amazing, and transformed them from the spoon into a genuine finals team, currently sitting inside the 4.
The likes of Graham and Mooney, O’sullivan doing a great job. What’s our recruitment doing?
Winning premierships?...

I get we are going shit but the hyperbole bs in this place in unreal. Im pissed at this team and squad for the dragons performance, but we are the current premiers still and people are talking like the last 3 years have been a failure lol.

Lets out this into perspective. In those 3 years we have won a premiership and played in 2 gfs haha....

I think if the club has any signings not yet announced, it would be nice to get some good news out to fans. Losing is boring. 2021 footy is boring.
Would agree with that. It would be nice to see a signing or 3 to help bolster our playing stocks for 2027

The scary thing might be that there are actually none.

Funny when you think about it, at one stage we left leave Walsh, Dearden and Sam Walker....

Theres a home grown spine right there.

This club can produce talent. Its not in waves like it used too because the competition for young talent has never been higher.

Just because you win a premiership, you don’t sit on your hands in the recruitment space.
We haven’t had a hooker and our forwards are also currently being exposed then Payne is leaving next year (yes we are getting Barnett) but we still need to go to market.

Did we ever have walker on a proper contract? i remember some shit about getting him to get an uber or taxi or something along those lines to come sign a contract and that having some sort of impact

No he was on a scholarship the whole of High School but when it came time in Year 12 to sign an NRL deal the Broncos botched it.

2027
1. Reece Walsh
2. Phillip Coates
3. Kotoni Staggs
4. Deine Mariner
5. Josiah Karapani (could swap numbers with Coates, just denoting who they'll likely line up with)
6. Ezra Mam
7. Jonah Pezet
8. Xavier Willison
9. Cory Paix
10. Mitch Barnett
11. Brendan Piakura
12. Jordan Riki
13. Patrick Carrigan

14. Blake Mozer
15. Corey Jensen
16. Ben Talty
17. Aublix Tauha
18. Antonio Verhoeven
19. Va'a Semu

20. Preston Riki
21. Ben Te Kura

Development: Cameron Bukowski, Tupou Francis, Braithen Scott, Jared Horne

Off Contract: Ben Hunt, Tom Duffy, Gehamat Shibasaki, Jesse Arthars, Billy Walters, Hayze Perham, Josh Rogers, Delouise Hoeter

3-4 signings sounds about right. It just depends on how many players the Broncos re-sign that are currently off contract. Of those I think it's between Duffy and Hunt for that third halves spot. Billy might get a reprieve depending on how he bounces back from his knee reco. The longer he sits out, the harder it is to justify. Shib and Arthars sound like they're gone so Brisbane will need an NRL calibre outside back.

Definitely need some NRL backrowers.

You reckon Poates has gone past Verhoeven? He was more impressive on debut in my opinion.
