Itd be a damn shame if you guys have to give Anderson to the Warriors, just signed him and he can cover all positions in the backline and can goalkick! Should try to give the Warriors that unproven Antonio Verhoeven kid...afterall he is from NZ...No point keeping him in Brisbane when he will want to go back home in a couple of years anyway!

I hope Red Hill moves fast and gets a deal done for Verhoeven/Barnett. It would be a mighty shame if the Broncos Barnett deal is pulled by the Warriors. This was a hand of god moment where after Haas decided to leave, this opportunity came about to land Barnett. Surely the Broncos can fluff this opportunity as well?

Ye... broncos are the incompetent club in this conversation.... you released him, then said after the fact "na, we want a player" haha... seems like you guys already fluffed it.

Where was the source for this info? Wasnt it david riccio on triple m? Hahaha draw a name in a hat territory there, honestly got less "insider" connections in brisbane than I do with the dallas cowboys. Get the feeling every player will be linked with "mass exodus/chaos/bad culture/fracture club" headlines over the next few weeks....

Never mind melbourne losing 7 of their top 17, or the fact we beat out half a dozen clubs for 2 of the most sought after signatures.... oh, and the small, tiny fact we just won a premiership
 
Player swaps are difficult because we aren't the NBA.... you need the player to actually want to go.

If the reports are true, obviously Anderson sees a better future for himself away from Red Hill. He was a perennial back-up in Melb and could very easily be stuck in and out of the side with us. I wouldn't blame him if he did put his hand up to go to Auckland.

I personally thought he was great the other night and want him to fight for the jersey.

I would say though, if we can get a swap deal for 2026 and get Barnett now then f*ck me what a side to go back to back

Barnett and Anderson both have the same manager. It wouldn't be too hard for Ricco to ring and ask and I bet he's got the information from there.

I think you are giving an NRL germalist a bit too much credit by saying he's actually done any work in calling anyone at all.
 
Anderson has to want to go for a start.
He'd be a walk up start at the bears and get payed well to boot or wait for the chiefs in 28 for some tax free cash.
Going to the wahs seems like he'd be going as back up again and getting back up money.
 
Aren't Wahs already getting Warbrick? Surely Anderson doesn't sign all the way over to Wahs to be a backup again. They still arent even using AKP

Latest I read was there was apparently a meeting held last night with DD & Co, to try to work through any issues that may have come up.
