So it turns out.... we are the ones that replaced the name on that door / room hahhahahahah.

I knew we did everything else, installation was Wednesday to Friday, but I never cut that black Ali Brigginshaw text, so I assumed the Broncos did that themselves on the quiet.

But it was us. Urgent request Friday morning, before I'd got to work.

I don’t think it’s the primary job of a head coach to help his assistants grow and develop as a coach, their job is to win games the best way they know how, the assistant has input, but at the end of the day their job is to follow the directions of the head coach.

I don’t think it reflects particularly well on teo as an assistant coach, that a debate over something like tactics could result in an untenable relationship, despite the anti Madge narrative that will no doubt shield him from any scrutiny. Not that I believe Madge would be easy to work with, but at the end of day he’s the one that cops the blame for the losses, not teo, because he’s the one ultimately responsible.

**** it’s a pile on at the moment. Wtf is going on internally.
I watched a podcast after the GF last year with Teo in it. I got a weird feeling that he and Madge weren’t the closest of friends.
I get all assistants were bought to the club by Kev, maybe it’s a case of Madge wants to bring his own staff in? But then again didn’t Teo only re-sign at the end of last year? PNG?
All seems a bit weird and not the noise we really need as the media will have a feast on this.

As much as it's not ideal, it's not even necessarily a bad thing. If Te'o didn't agree with what Maguire was wanting to implement, he had two choices - suck it up, or resign. It's Maguire's call, he's the head coach.

For all we know, Maguire laid down what he wants the defensive structure to be, Te'o disagreed it was the best way to do it, but agreed to implement it for the Storm game, it was proven to be effective and Te'o said "you were right, I was wrong, I'll see my way out".

There was a very clear difference between the initial contact, the handling of the ruck, and the scramble, against the Storm compared to the previous 2 (3?) games.
