Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2026

If Reyno’s fit and Mam is firing, I’d be tempted to play Hunt at 14. Cover for half injuries for 40min, then let him loose in the second. Does rely on us having a strong #9, would love for Mozer or Bukowski to be ready to take that on.

If Mozer isn't our 9 by the end of next season, he's off to another club. Surely.
Paix seems to be one of Madge’s favourites for some reason. I think it’s obvious Paix lacks polished service from 9, a lot of the time doesn’t seem to be on the same page with the halves. When Kev was coach I think it’s clear Reyno would’ve had 99% input in the team line-up and Paix was banished to QCup for a couple of years there 23/24. In the grand final he threw a shocker to Mam but Mam still managed to catch it at his feet and get a repeat set.

I hope Mozer comes back Hungry after the injury riddled 25 and goes after that spot, haven’t seen as much Bukowski but he seems to be more of a straight from the deck sort of hooker, more patient with picking his moments where as Mozer likes to pick up and probe a lot. Will be an interesting watch, Madge appears as though he knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to make the call.

There's not a lot on Puluno.

Played three games of Harold Matts in '24, two starting at prop, one off the bench. In his debut game, he made two errors before being subbed off. Ambrose didn't play the following week, but returned the week after where he made another error in his opening stint and didn't return for the rest of the game.

In his final game against Cronulla, the Sharks ran up a massive score and Ambrose came on with 10 minutes remaining.

Puluno was a member of the Warriors SG Ball squad but didn't play a game.

No word on injuries which always makes following the juniors difficult.

Still eligible for Meninga so it's a reasonable signing for the Magpies.

I was on the “get rid of Paix” train when Kev hooked him but, say what you like, he’s a premiership winning starting hooker.

I feel like Paix could be a bit of a culture guy for Madge.

He clearly doesnt want to play anywhere else, so hes likely on club friendly deals... he's a hard worker so he can drive that standard across the playing group.

If he's then good enough to cover 9 then Madge has himself a squad guy that can be trusted to do a job when called upon and wont necessarily be a roadblock to young guys coming through.. but in general he gets built up as a guy that drives standards across young guys and new players that come into the team.

He's also a chippie that helps out the guys with renos.

He’s a premiership winning hooker and Shane Perry is a premiership winning half back.

Still don’t think he’s our 9 long term
