Noice.

Re: Broncos Player Movement and Rumours 2016

That's a good signing. He's a talented kid!

I think it's also a wise move for Parker if to play on would only be for another season, no serious injuries this year and he can go around for another year.

Dunno about re-signing Parker just yet, we've already got some pretty big positional issues for 2016, let alone 2017 when we get TPJ and another season under the belt for Ofahengaue. This would be my current projection for us a year from now, assuming Parker retires and Ofahengaue continues his current trajectory.

2016 -

8. McGuire
9. McCullough
10. Blair
11. Glenn
12. Gillett
13. Parker

14. Nikorima
15. Thaiday
16. Wallace
17. Ofahengaue

2017 -

8. McGuire
9. McCullough
10. Ofahengaue
11. Glenn
12. Gillett
13. Blair

14. Nikorima
15. Thaiday
16. Wallace
17. Pangai Jr

He's an exciting prospect, but gee I'm not a fan of clubs buying players before a ball has even been kicked. Either, the club is shanghaid into squeezing the player out of their roster (eg. Walker and Taupau) or they carry them in the roster and get no where near the return they should (eg Maloney 2012). At the moment, it's really unfair on the clubs, their fans and it isn't a good look for the game.

With that said, Pangai Jr is an exciting prospect and I'd rather have him than not. Still, I really hope Bennett can get something out of him because from what I've seen of Pangai Jr, as talented as he is, he doesn't have the best football IQ and will often come up with soft options in pressure situations. He'll either grow out of it, or will convince himself that it's a natural part of his game, which it shouldn't be.

most will claim he isn't that great, while crying on the inside like little bitches

Hahaha.

The GH is awesome sometimes. They are not happy at all.

keen as too see pangai jnr in our future broncos side i believe our future forwards pack will be

FUTURE TEAM-

8. JO ofahengaue
9. kodi nikorima
10. salesi funaki
11. Matt gillet
12. pangai jnr
13. jai arrow

I find it funny they are crying about development and why bother etc, considering the Raiders got him from the Knights

i think the writing is on the wall for arrow im afraid, i cant see him fitting into the 13 jersey or long term plans ( i hope im wrong as he has been eith the club sonce he was 13)
i reckon once parker finishes up we will see moose move to 13, hence the reason bennett has pushed hard for young front rowers coming through

We've got the best young forwards in the comp coming through in my opinion. Hopefully we can bring the best through post Parker, Thaiday, and Blair

You could argue it's comparable to us bitching about developing Tariq Sims. Though I'm not sure (1) How long the Raiders have had PJ on their books for, and (2) Whether Tariq was actually part of the Dragon's system before ours or just literally Ashton's little brother playing for (unaffiliated junior club).

The Tariq Sims comparison is fairly spot on.

The only difference is that Tariq Sims came to Brisbane as a really ordinary winger who simply seemed to be apart of the Ashton + Korbin package. Hook turned him into a prop and he turned out to be the best forward in the NYC.

Pangai Jr was a stand-out during his Newcastle days and I've heard several stories about him and Sione Mata'utia tearing teams apart in their younger days.

Perhaps a Justin Hodges comparison maybe more appropriate? The Broncos spent a lot of money relocating his family and actively gave him time in first grade before he took up a really good deal at the Roosters. The club was furious and led to a really bitter conflict between them and the family. Honestly, I don't begrudge either part. Hodges wanted to play fullback and thought he had a better opportunity at the Roosters. Of course as he'd soon find out, Minichiello took to the position much better than anybody had ever anticipated so he had to settle at centre, which was probably better than replacing Wendell on the wing. Like Copley, Hodges struggled on the wing and had the worst Origin performance of anyone in that position.

I don't know why anyone had an issue with Bennett either. Hodges wasn't an integral part of the team in 2001 and the only reason he was being selected was to develop him for the future. The moment Hodgo signed, his place in the side was fair game.

Why would Bennett not rate Arrow? The kid looks ready already. Where does Es'ese and Funaki fit in?
