I'd say people having genuine inner reflection and thorough self evaluation in times of crisis is actually fairly rare indeed. Genuinely excellent leaders and people do this of course, but I suspect you'll find there are few, if any, genuinely excellent leaders or people left at the Broncos.
It's far, far more common in my experience that people will look to shift blame or go into a silo of self preservation to avoid losing their jobs or power. I suspect this is exactly what's happening at the Broncos right now. I guess that technically is internal sabotage in a sense so to some extent you might be right.
To be frank though, I'd say that if you suspect the current management of attempting to destroy the place deliberately from the inside that you overestimate both their ability and level of competence to actually be able to pull that sort of thing off. Corporate Australia is riddled with people who stumbled their way into positions of power for one political reason or another that they are simply not skilled for and it would be naive to think the Broncos are any different in this regard.
