Repeat after me, everyone.

Lodge. Was. Slow. Because. He. Had. A. Broken. Leg.

He's a big unit but has a great motor, I don't think the new rules hinder him at all. Not as much as, you know, a BROKEN LEG would.
Plus, he will have a full off-season to drop his weight a little, work on his cardio to better suit the new rules.

Yeah it would have sucked to retain Corey Allan and Tanah Boyd. Signing Fogarty on a bottom dollar contract would have been horrible too, wouldn't it?

And imagine if we never signed Jack Bird and Matthew Lodge? Horrible.

That's just the beginning too! It would have been a disaster for me to have a say, right?

Of course that comment was a joke, but I still think I'd do a better job than the current people in charge of decision making.
I dunno man, while I think at times you do have some good suggestions, I 100% reckon you would've called for us to sign Matt Lodge when he was playing for (and ripping it up for) Redcliffe. He was a Q Cup player afterall that we got on bottom dollar for the first contract...

Surely, surely, if we release Bird we must be bringing in one of the competitions more elite players.

Otherwise, it just makes no sense. Unless of course we aren’t footing any of his contract.

Even though lodge is on too much, if he drops some weight he already has good ball skills to suit the new rules. Give him two good legs he should be gtg.

Yuck.. No.. I never wanted that kind of vibe in the club. Nope.

Bird has been set free to foot the bill for Staggs.

Your mistake is thinking he'd watch a Dolphins game, just wait for the highlights and check the scorecard or end of year awards.

Not the best signings but would have been okay back then. Can't blame me for the Cory Denniss signing.. Even the master coach ended up buying him at Souths. I miss Rhyse Martin. There would have been more cap to add more to the signed list, obvs need to fill the voids in the squad. Also I actually would have preferred to keep Nikorima over Milford and play Niko at 6.

Try one Andrew McCullough on for marquee signing size.

At the time they may not have been bad signings but Lewis has kinda fizzled out and Segs on the juiceeeeee.

I would've taken martin tho.

I agree. At least none of those guys would have broken the bank. It's worse when it's a wrong decision and you're paying upwards of 600k a season for the player. I'm pretty sure Bellamy has pretty much bought every player in the Storm squad close to their bottom dollar value and has developed them into stars..

He bought them all so cheaply. It's ridiculous. Most of them made their debut at storm. The player he probably spent the most on recruiting would have been Finucane when he was still a young kid at the Dogs. Josh Jackson was rated more highly there at the time.
