http://www.nrl.com/news/news/newsarticl ... fault.aspxBrisbane skipper Darren Lockyer's bid for some playing time ahead of the NRL season kick off was scuttled again by injury on Saturday night as the Broncos had 30-20 trial win over Queensland Cup side Redcliffe .
While the injury won't prevent Lockyer playing in Brisbane's NRL season opener against the Cowboys next Friday week, it robbed him of an opportunity to work on his combination with No.7 Peter Wallace, also playing his first game since breaking his ankle last September.
Wallace played the opening half but was not sighted after the break.
"He (Lockyer) will be right for the Cowboys," declared Henjak after the captain's early night.
It was Lockyer's first appearance for Brisbane since suffering an arm injury in the opening minutes of this month's All Star clash on the Gold Coast.

From the looks of things we did well. I was getting worried because it was raining all day today! What was the crowd like at Dolphin Oval tonight?
