It still makes me sad looking at the quality of team you can make out of ex-Broncos still playing in the NRL.

I often think this too. There's a few stand outs that I'd really like back at our club. Last year I would've said Scott Prince, but not this year. Lol. & don't forget Karmichael Hunt - if there weren't a Salary Cap we'd still have him. Israel would still be at Melbourne I'm sure.

David Taylor
Petero Civoniceva
David Stagg
Darius Boyd
Lote Tuqiri
Shaun Berrigan.

If we could have kept those guys, I'd have been really stoked.

Was Matt Ballin a Bronco at one stage? Or am I confusing him with Friend?

Ballin never played first grade, but he was at the Broncos, yeah.

And have a genuine A Grade national comp not this u20's stuff to develop our club depth. Sigh. Guys like Yow Yeh, Glenn, Hoffman, Beale, Hunt & co would then come into the grade as superstars not future superstars with potential.

More so went and joined a team which better suited their skills and style of play.

Seymour, Costigan and Co had other issues

Dave Taylor was lazy and not used correctly

etc etc

Let's not make excuses for Bennett on this. He has handled a large number of players very poorly. Even someone loved around, stagg, went from a generic dime a dozen flop-monster to a decent player the year after he left Bennett. Bennetts recruitment and player selections were his worst aspects of his coaching in his last 4-5 years with us.
