Mullen and Cross are massive losses for them.

Like Lockye & Kenny if it were us.

What I'm looking for in this game:

1. A win by 12+ given their injuries;

2. Lockyer to bloody kick into open spaces AND to Folau

3. Wallace to bloody kick into open spaces AND to Folau

4. Hunt to continue to show why he's emerging as possibly the best footballer in NRL.

I have been impressed with how Hunt has played so far this season. He's running off the ball players really well and creating opportunities. Long may it continue!

I think one of the reasons they're not kicking to Folau is that they direct a lot of their attack down the Hodges/Folau side anyway. So on 4th or 5th they're regularly being tackled out there. No point kicking to Folau when you're on the same side. So they kick left instead.

If Michaels had a reserve-grade level draw and pass ability, they could probably afford to attack left a bit more earlier in the sets.

I was talking to my mate about this the other day and it got me thinking. Sure Henjak could direct his team to kick to Folau and grab a try a match but personally, I think he's saving that artillery for later in the season.

If Broncos were to use it alot during the start of the season, teams would be better prepared for it. More a shock tactic when it's really needed come finals time.

They used it (kicking high to Folau) a lot at the start of the season, then other teams figured out how to stop it (use lots of well-placed blockers). I don't think you sill see a great deal of it through out the season. The greatest thing about the broncos this year is their attack is NOT one dimensional as it has been in past years, and I think they want to keep it this way.

What I'd like to see is still attack down the right with the aim of K or Hodgo being tackled in the corner (if they don't score). Then immediately Folau starts an arc like run towards the posts, and have the cross field kick directed there.

Much harder to block him there, not expected.

I love that Lockyer -> Hodges, super quick flick back on the inside -> Hunt move, when they pull that off it's magic!

Well, they've done it twice for two **** ups...third time lucky :P

yep, because it doesn't always work, but when it does! Woot! Just like the quick flick to hunt up the middle of the ruck, 99% of the time it fails and you think "why WHY persist?" but when it does work!!! Woo.

Also I i wish that round the back flick pass to Folau would have worked too, that would've been on every hilight reel for weeks.

We will expose the Knights this weekend and I can't wait. Going down to the local pub to watch, oh yeah!

Dureau has talent, just hasn't learned to apply it yet.

It'll be a tough game alright.

Brian Smith will have some gameplan sussed out to trouble us ... he always does.

yeah true he always seems to get a game plan that works ......beware gidley ...

The way I see it with the Folau/ hodges combo, is that it draws the defence to that side off field. Teams are wary of giving them too much space as we saw what they can against Para, this allows Winerstein more space to move and is major factor in michaels and Winterstein scoring so many tries down that side. This happened agaimst the Roosters where the defence had shifted to their left to make sure Hodhes and Folou and had no room and all we did was shifty it quickly, (which we have doen really well this year I might add) and Winstein had already got on the outside of his man.

I agree and that may be part of the reason Henjak is playing them both on the same side of the field eusa_think

Nothing like spending a fortune on player so that we can score tries on the opposite side of the field to where he is.

Rather Folau at left centre with Michaels at wing.
