We almost beat them at Brookie last year. at one stage it was like 18-0 until jamie lyon scored his 2 dodgy tries...

That game was at Suncorp.

Good win by the boys tonight. Terrible conditions and the Sharks usually play pretty well in the wet so we grinded it out well IMO.

Hoffman was superb and Lockyer and Thaiday were great backing up from Wednesday night.

Not much else needs to be said. Defence was good.

Considering how shit the conditions were and the fact that we had players backing up who hadnt trained with the team all week i thought we couldnt of asked for a better performace from the boys. Great Win that we needed.

Onto next weeks game:
No Mati and possibly Lyon so we are with a real shot.

Very good win tonight IMO. Broncos were poor at times with the ball, but defenissively they were superb. Sharks had a lot of chances but the Broncos pressured and scrambled perfectly. Lots to like in that win.

Locky was my MOTM for the 2nd time in a week, for the same reasons. Great kicking game, some brilliant decisions in defence, great leadership and anticipation to be in the right place at the right time.

Considering we were coming off a bye, had players backing up from origin and were playing at shark park on a wet saturday night, I'm stoked with the result. I think our scrambling defence was impressive and the way we just ground out the win was excelent.
Hoffman had one of his best games IMO, he is starting to pop up a bit more in support for 2nd phase play thru the middle (and looks dangerous when he does get it) and is changing up the second man play by either dummying or passing.
Oh and Locky is just rediculous...so happy he played this game :roll:

If he did cop a knock it would have been from his own making. He was hitting very hard last night. He is simply on fire atm.

I think it's because he was out in the centres and Glenn was defending in the pack. Wasn't seeing as much ball.

And I agree with what Coxy said, the scrambling defence was what saved us - it highlights that their attitude is spot on at the moment, teams are always going to make half breaks but it's about shutting them down. Lockyer's tackle on Barrett was phenomenal, as was Gillett's on the Sharks winger.

Is it just me or is Trent Barret getting more and more dirty everytime he plays. God he hits high ever time and is so dirty

Not a great game, but at least we won. Hopefully that was enough to blow out the cobwebs for the next game.
