Broncos Vs Storm Trial - Team named

i suppose that one positive is that the Storm seem to be forced to score from kicks .... although a try is a try, no matter how its scored.

While it's a disappointing result I'm not going to get too bummed out.

Foreign ground, trial game, lots of flukey tries & coming up against the best spine in the competition...it's a recipe for disaster.

As I type that, the Broncos have hit back 34-22.

Even though it's just a trial, its still a disappointing score line. Defensively in particular. Attack seems ok.

Although it is not the worst scoreline ever against Melbourne.

well we didn't get flogged and we did score a few points against a near full strength Storm team (who are usually very strong defensively)

Melbourne have the ball and it's game over.

6 tries a piece.

Melbourne 34 (Slater 2, Cronk 2, Widdop, Fonua Tries; Smith 5/6 Goals) defeated Brisbane 30 (Glenn, Te'o, Beale, Norman, Hoffman, Gagai Tries; Wallace 3/6 Goals)

Wonder how many of the Melbourne big guns were on for that late comeback.

Sounds like a decent match. Might need to work on our starts and defense.

3/6 conversions Vs 5/6.

slater did go off after 60 mins. not sure if any of their other main players did.

though good to see some points from us at the end and knowing most of the storm tries came from kicks it might not be all bad.

will wait for a full report on the game i guess.

Well that game shows there are plenty of points in this team, and last year showed that their defence can be second to none.

Now they just need to put the two together in a real game situation.

Not too concerned as yet - great defence is a mindset and I imagine it would be hard to conjure that up out of nowhere for a trial match.

That's just my impression from how the scoreline went though. Match reports might reveal something completely different.
