Broncos Vs. Titans

The match at Suncorp obviously.

Looking at flying up for this one. Thing is, i want to book my flights fairly early, otherwise i'll get stuck with some shitty 6am flight, etc.

There is one problem though, i won't know which day the match will be on for agggggeeeeeeeeeeeeessss.

From memory, we always play the Titans on a Friday night at home (I've been to two of them!), so i'm assuming we'll be on the Friday again, which is the 14/5.

Is there anyway of finding out what night the club have requested for the game or something? Does anyone have the inside word? :mrgreen:

I am 90% sure it'll be on the Friday anyway.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat with the Cronulla match after Origin 1.

Local Queensland derby on Friday night, lock it in Eddie. All the recent Cowboys and Titans matches have been Friday night since the season opener vs the Cows back in 2007 was on Sunday.

I thought the TV stations decided the scheduling of games, not the clubs.

go to the game at the titans home. In the semis it was awesome with the whole away supporters bay thing, most noise ive ever heard from Broncos fans.

Sure, maybe the TV stations don't listen to them, but i'd like to know.

Nah clubs can request which teams they prefer as their home matches, but they have no rights to request when they will be played (though that might change under the IC.)

I'd say it's pretty safe that it will be the Friday night as I think Ch9 have something where at least one Qld team has to be shown on a Friday night.

The Cowboys are playing the Warriors in New Zealand that week, so I'm fairly certain that won't be the Friday night game. icon_thumbs_u

Bruno Cullen has always preferred these blockbuster game be held on Sunday afternoons but all of them to date have been on a Friday night (bar last year's Qualifying Final). I think you can be pretty confident it will be played on the Friday night.

Yeh safe to say Friday night. Still haven't watched a game @ suncorp yet. Been talking about it for ages with a couple of mates but opportunity never came up.

I will eventually but I'm hoping for Origin or a Sunday game which means it would have to be when there is a public holiday on Monday.

btw Nashy - I love 30 rock to death. Tracy and Alec kill me sometimes!

Yeah, i've been to Suncorp twice, both for Titans matches, and i've loved it. Hence why i am keen to go again.

Going to Skilled Park does appeal to me, but i'd prefer Suncorp for now. It's like my yearly pilgrimage. :mrgreen:

To be honest I don't get the fuss over Skilled Park. Been there for a few games and aside from the atmosphere at the Final match last year (which was created by the occassion and the fans that were there on the night) IMO it's not really that great.
