Billy was great for the tigers a couple years back coming on at hooker and then he did his ACL. Still looks to be playing at the same level following the injury and looks a great option for the 14 jersey.

Paix can keep plying his trade in QCup... Turps might need to start looking over his shoulder
Which is a good thing IMO, Turps needs competition and I think if Paix isn't on the bench Billy should get a look at.

Only disappointment that half was Isaako. Already showing signs he's checked out mentally. It's wing or nothing with Reynolds goalkicking as far as I'm concerned.

Flegs, Paix, Pereira, Billy and Hethrington have been impressive

Palasia has been good

Mariner and Mam showing they are indeed prospects, but could certainly use some baking in the QLD cup first ... the good thing is that for the first time in 2 or 3 years, we don't need rush them

This is the best we have looked in a trial in the last three years.

Billy Walters has looked great out of hooker. Gamble really got the team buzzing.
Fleggs looked great apart from the silly offloads. Isaako as I said is a good athlete, but he isn't there when he should be and still is randomly just standing around the ruck looking puzzled, really should have been there for JP when he broke those tackles and came back in field.
JP is looking the goods also, lots of energy. Brenko has been solid and has opened things up for JP a couple of times.

The thing about Gamble is his size. He should be able to cover most interchange roles (except wing and FB I assume).

From what I've seen Walters, paix, hetherington, mam and pereira are all playing themselves into contention for week 1.
100% I know he isn’t available but absolutely hats off to Flegler he looked so good.

All this.

Shocked how good Walters is playing at dummy half... This preseason we've been seeing Walters 6, Gamble 14 but maybe it'll be..

6. Kelly
9. Turpin
14. Walters
15. Gamble (he's big enough to play in the forwards in a roving lock ball playing forward for mine)

Getting worried that Kevvie has too many options to choose from… 😬
It’s a wonderful thing, isn’t it? Of course, we’re bound to lose one or two to some lowlife club waving a chequebook around.

What about:

6. Mam
7. Reynolds
9. Paix

14. Walters
17. Gamble

Could it work?
Not entirely opposed but you’d probably wait till Flegs comes back and bench minutes for forwards start drying up a bit. You’d probably make sure Gamble is competent in the middle and second row as well.

From what i have seen pereira has one wing spot, walters the utility (and pushing for hooker) and gamble the 5/8th. Isaako looks good at fullback but will probably miss out whilst pakura, ezra and paix look good prodpects but not yet ready.
This prop aime should be signed up by someone quick.
What a difference walters and gamble make for organisation out there!
Flegler looks like having a very good year.
