Broncos withdraw their two year offer to Greg Inglis

No he hasnt as they will pick Jamie Lyon

plus how many games til origin?
If he keeps his form then he is guaranteed origin selection. The guy is a star at his best he rips teams apart and he will only get better. If Blues don't pick him and he's playing like he is then they are complete idiots.

Idris has virtually guaranteed himself origin selection as well with that game.
If he does, Inglis will own him during Origin and return to his mediocre best at club level after that...
Since Souffs are no danger of reaching the finals, that's as much as they will get from him... [icon_lol1.
& he will be outstanding at Origin.

He is a waste of talent.

^^^ This. I'm surprised people are so surprised by Inglis's shit club form so far. He was shit at the start of the 2009 season with the Storm too. And fat.

He's lazy. He's a player who plays when he feels like it. But on the big days in the biggest games he always performs - Origin, Test and finals.

Can't see John Lang changing his club attitude.

Inglis hasn't show any real consistent club form for some time now. Not surprising.

He is consistently first in line at the buffet.

I was just thinking today that I'm glad we didn't sign Inglis, also I wonder if Inglis is rethinking his decision.

Nah, all he can think of, is the bigger boat he'll be buying with Russell's money... :P

He'll be in this years origin team, maybe at the expense of Civonocevia though

Give the guy some time. He had no pre season and came back from an injury. Plus coming into a side with a very dodgy halves pairing that can produce the goods some weeks and for most of them produce the same school boy errors. By round 5 - 6 he will start showing his magic again.

No matter how lackluster you might say he's been at club level, inglis has still set up more tries than Wallace has these last 3 years.

I'd still take him at the broncos in a heartbeat. When he needs to play well, he does.

He needed to play well yesterday and he didn't.

Lol, what?

I understand what you're trying to say...but it doesn't make much sense.

If I was a Souths supporter, I'd be hoping he'd have the attitude that he wants to do well every week, not just on select occasions.

FMD, the Wallace agenda in this thread, really?

Inglis is fat, uninterested, will perform well for half a dozen of games around Origin, where he'll probably murder NSW again, and that will be it, because Souffs are more likely to dispute the spoon with Sharkies, Cowboys and Tits. [icon_shru

Hard to believe that a few years ago Inglis was selected on the wing for Queensland in the 2007 series. He was a very athletic player back then who made a contribution nearly every game.

These days he just looks disinterested and way off the pace. It's a completely different Greg Inglis to the one that dominated so heavily in the 2008 series.

And for the record, I was very excited when it looked like we were going to sign him. But if he keeps up his form of the first 2 rounds it looks like we may have well dodged a bullet!

Honestly, I think this start has been even worse than his start in 2009, at least in the opener he came up with two big plays (treating Soward like a rag doll, and kicking the match winner) and then in Round 3 he swung the game back to his side after Cows had all the possesion diving on a loose ball and going 90m. From there he was quiet and the Storm were ordinary but come Round 8 he was back to his best when he helped defeat Manly convingly in the 2008 replay.

So far he's scored one simple cut and paste cross field kick try and set up Wesser off a set play. He's shown flashes here and there but he's been shown up for speed and I'm unsure whether he'll be right come Origin.

Do you really blame the guy for being disinterested though? I mean he is playing for souths! How excited could one get about that?

But he's playing with his brothers, I thought that was a significant motivating factor that lead him to that decision?

Well I now suspect it's cause he wants to go on next seasons Biggest Loser Families
