No one can deny the credibility the king brought to the club, From a pure football perspective based on their careers at the club Walters was far more consistent week in and week out and I feel Walters complimented Langer exceptionally. Lewis was great in his first two season's at the club but in 1990 injuries were plaguing him and on form Kevin Walters well and truly earnt the 5/8th Jersey and he was a major factor for our success upto his retirement.

Re: Vote : Broncoshq best ever 17 - Fullback

If there's any justice in the world, Lockyer can be acknowledged in both positions because he owned them both

Re: Vote : Broncoshq best ever 17 - Fullback

Shit..

Voted the wrong person. I was meant to vote Lockyer, I voted Hunt.

I feel Walters should be the 5/8.

Locky of course!

Let's not forget that voting Locky here doesn't mean you can't vote him for 5/8 as well, but like others, I'd go with Walters at 5/8 with Darren as the custodian.

I think it does.

We're naming the best ever 17.....not 16.

Just a random thought on Julian O'Neill. He was a tremendous fullback although that's not a comment on other aspects of the man. He was tough too and isn't far behind K Hunt if at all. Lockyer was our best though and he was a class above the next best.

18. John Plath

Couldn't leave out Plath.

While the likes of Miles and Lewis were great individual players, in terms of their importance to the success of Brisbane, outside of the first couple of years which are more to do with their profile, they do not rank as highly as the 18 I've listed.
