I've got mixed feelings over this appointment. On one hand, I'm not a fan of recycling coaches. With very few exceptions it rarely works out well when a coach doesn't leave on their terms and usually they don't bring anything new to the profession.
However, Brown was the youngest coach in the game, the Dragons weren't god awful under him and he did some good things over in the ESL. I have my doubts but I'm interested to see how Brown goes and think they could have done worse.
The Knights need a good kick up the arse and some motivation and I believe Brown is the kind of guy that can do that. He had a respectable record with the Dragons, has achieved success in Super League of late and has served a role under Bellamy that he could use to his advantage (McGuire eg). They need an overhaul though and if they won't get results unless he can make some changes.
He's older, wiser and most importantly has no previous affiliation with the club......unlike when he was at the Dragons. Could be a what they need. Besides which, he and Barrett facing off will be interesting.
