Bulldogs Vs. Eels *SPOILER*

hayne wont be suspended. but that chicken wing guy is gone for sure

Hazem is a joke a fitting finish for a disgusting fake person.

Hayne should be sweet the Sydney conspiracy theory would not let him get rubbed out for a GF>

Hayne's defence will be blown out of the water.

He said something like this to the ref.

I tucked my feet in. Which means he lead with his knees.

I'm going to assume you're being sarcastic here. I always thought he was very fake though.

I think Hayne did nothing wrong, he was desperately sprinting for the player and but got there too late and pulled out and unfortunately copped the guy in the head. There was absolutely no malice and it was clearly an accident, I would feel even worse for him than I did for Cam Smith last year. As for Keating there was nothing in that either, its a little guy grabbing onto whatever he could grab of big Ben Hannant and the two of them twisted into an awkward spot, Keating didn't intentionally twist or pull at his arm he was just holding it when things went wrong in the tackle. From a neutral point of view I will be bitterly disappointed if either player is ruled out.

I didn't see that one and if it is as you say then they got it wrong, you can't rub a guy out for accidentally kneeing someone or else Cayless would be out for kneeing Luke Patten in the first minute as well.

Cam Smith deserved what he got last year.

He won't get suspended. Guarantee it.

Well Goodwin may not have gone so low, Hayne didn't know this and was at full flight trying to get underneath him. Often wingers bomb tries by not getting low enough and Hayne would have looked like a hero getting under the guy, you could say Hayne was trying to effect a tackle he just got there late and it made for an awkward collision which would have been worse if he had led with his feet.

Ning; there were seriously 50 worse grapple tackles than Smith's last year that went unscrutinised let alone unpunished, the NRL made the Storm into a witch hunt last season. They wouldn't have beaten Manly or anything but he was robbed of a Grand Final.

If Hayne was desperately sprinting for the ball then he should have lead with his arms, not knees. It's illegal and I don't know how they can avoid suspending him, though no doubt they'll try their darndest.

A grade 1 charge of "Dropping Knees" (assuming that's what it is) carries 200 points, down to 150 with an early guilty plea - still 1 week suspension.

Have a look on NRL video at the highlights of the Eels V Tigers game in round 24. The Gibbs incident where he lead with the knees into Burt is very similar, and he got 3 weeks (though reading an old article it was a "dangerous conduct" charge).

Fair enough point, i still think it was a terrible tackle though.

It's in the past but, so no point arguing about it now.

Seriously, I don't think Hayne will get suspended. The NRL won't let their Golden Boy miss out on his fairytale run this year.

Gibbs never had a chance of getting there he was a slow prop, Hayne is a fullback sprinting to the corner. He didn't "drop his knees" he slid toward the ball carrier. This was careless at its worst, and your theory of diving head first is off the mark no one in their right mind would superman into a corner at full pace to try and save a try because you would hurt yourself and probably whomever you hit and are far less likely to save a try.

Yep. Can you imagine the uproar? Whether it was illegal or not, Hayne is the 'IT' player at the moment and I can't see the NRL having the grand final without him.

I would love, but be very surprised, if gets suspended [icon_wink

http://bigpondvideo.com/nrl/197602 at about 1.30 secs. Gibbs was not in a position to attack the ball and hit the player's back. It is similar in kneeing, but Hayne was in a different position coming across field but as the play is illegal and also a stupid ruling he will probably get suspended.
